  2. It’s fully functional but not airworthy. They occasionally do full power engine runs and fully powered blasts down the runway, which are fantastic to experience. They did have a mishap several years ago during powered taxiing when the hydraulic brakes failed and the plane crossed the grass and sank into the turf, with its nose almost pointing into the road. Took some time and effort to extract it!

  3. Finally got to have a good look at my acquisition the plate on it says it 87 SE 205 so I’m presuming it’s an early pre lit build. It comes with a carrier bag of invoices and early literature. Lots of spares as well so over the winter it’s going to a local specialist to sort ready for next season. Best bit of the visit to view today my wife like it (at the moment)😂

  6. No photos, but is there any better feeling than getting the Westfield out on a warm, sunny day, wringing its neck on empty country roads and making a glorious noise, then stopping at a beautiful country pub for a breather and your favourite pint? 😎 No details, but after a very challenging 12 months healthwise at home and £40k spent on unexpected necessities since July, I really needed that bit of joy, release from reality and reaffirmation. Personal batteries recharged.

  7. Meet at The Chequered Flag Cafe, Darley Moor, Ashbourne, DE6 2ET at 10am. After refreshments we will head up into the Peak District for a run out, expecting to finish at one of our favourite cafe's in Hulme End. This will be subject to a good weather forecast so please check on here before travelling. Who is coming?

  8. Making it myself, squared up the bonnet as best as possible to make it a bit straighter and made the gaps more uniform, so hopefully the carbon one will fit loads better! Should lose a couple KG's as well!! Just have to decide on what weave orientation I want to have next, and make the plugs for the vents. Might make myself a couple bonnets for fun, but have no intention currently on producing many. Might put the mould up for sale after I have had my fun though!

  9. Stick a reverse lever in the tunnel and don't tell anyone its not connected! Only joking obviously, cos that would be against the rules.....

  10. I know this has probably been chewed over a number of times im still going to throw it out there.I had just put the megablade clutch back in and decided to take it for a little shake down I only have an aeroscreen so always wear a crash helmet thank God I do minding my own business traveling at about 50 mph a car passed me bang a large stone hit me straight between the 👀 eyes I was surprised at the force of the impact jolting my head back slightly and I thought instantly if I hadn't been wearing a helmet that would have been at least an eye gone at worst a knock out if I had been going considerably faster within national speed limits of course like all Westfield drivers it could have been a different outcome the visor held up really well with just a scuff I think it must have flexed and absorbed some of the impact a peak cap the wrong way round with shades might look cool but it definitely won't stop much get your helmet on be safe and have fun.
