How many of you have just winced at the term 'Christmas' ?? And yes - November - is not a typo. Wanted to keep things fresh and obviously start the season with a bang. Having learnt from last year, this is not the Classic Car Show weekend so no need to double stack your social life! Also being early hopefully avoids double booking so we can eat more Christmas Dinners in the season and no need to eat two on the same day! Location - The Bentley Brook Inn, Fenny Bentley, Ashbourne, Derbyshire DE6 1LF Open to any member of the WSCC plus partner and also Club Sponsors, but numbers are limited so PLEASE RESERVE YOUR SPACE ASAP. Cost - your choice of two or three courses from the menu below - £25.95 for 2 courses or £28.95 for three. All drinks, coffees, or extras can be bought from the bar. Like last year, the venue would like me to collect the payments so I will need your money and confirmation BEFORE THE 15TH OCTOBER. I do not plan on chasing people for money (you were all good last year!) so please pay up now. If the money is not received by the 15th October, I'll have to assume you are not coming. I can give a full refund of any payments up to the point when the numbers have been confirmed (ie the 15th October) but after that, refunds will be at the discretion of the venue. I have already paid the deposit back in November last year! Please drop me a private message and I'll give you BACS or PayPal details. Looking forward to a really good get together.1 point

Looking to put it back to predominantly road use and the odd track day and sprint/hillclimb maybe. First stage of the lan is to get it onto a rolling road to sort the engine and to maybe replace the existing straight cut four speed gearbox. interior will need seats etc sorted but it’s a great looking project and a car I know the complete history of.1 point

Thank you for the warm welcome I will post up photos once the deal is completed which may not be for a week or so. I’m sure on here there will be many willing to give advice as I proceed with the next chapter of its progress. I am a lifelong Lotus fan and currently own an Evora GT410 Sport. Living in west Wales I also organise an annual Pembrokeshire Driving event for the Lotus Drivers Club along with one other annual Wales based event.1 point

I went out for the first proper drive ever (after 600 miles) by myself. Glorious sunshine and decent roads. Maybe I enjoyed myself too much, as 'Life360' (the app we use to keep track of family members) reckoned I had 35 'risky events' over 47 miles...😬. I ended up at my usual haunt (Elstree Aerodrome) for a cup of coffee. One day I'll find a nice vintage aeroplane for the XI to pose against 😃.1 point

Almost two years late, but I've managed to get my 40th birthday present sorted: A flight experience at Goodwood, in their Harvard. I had an amazing time, and got to fly her for maybe 5 mins whilst we were up,followed by a suitable amount of aerobatics. It turns out, if you don't clench hard enough, you really can start to grey out at the bottom of a 4g loop. 😮 Quick in-flight selfie: The view out over the wing, showing Thorney Island: An ever so slightly adrenaline filled me: I may take up wearing flight suits, as they're rather slimming.1 point

A hood bag from the very helpful Laura at www.tigercars.co.uk via eBay. They are happy to make them without the Tiger logo and have piping to suit most car colours. If you do go down that route, ask for the straps to be made a little longer as ours are a bit tight on the Jap rollbar. Otherwise, very pleased with it. Also a matching hat from some random safety wear company 😎1 point
