  2. Due to an increasing Labrador family, and hence the need to have a ‘practical’ 2nd car, I have had to make the painful decision to part with my much-loved Westfield. This is a factory-built car that I bought through Westfield as a 2nd owner. Vehicle registered new in 2001, I purchased in 2003 and it has been with me ever since. Jenvey / Dunnell engine upgrades all undertaken by Noble Motorsports at Chesterfield. Rolling road results (Northampton Motorsport) gave 187 BHP with the original ‘restrictive’ Westfield exhaust manifold fitted; this has since been upgraded to the Dunnell manifold (new BHP and Torque figures unknown!) Mileage is genuine and only 19,672 (full record of all MOT’s, receipts, etc) Most recent MOT undertaken in July ’25 (no advisory’s) along with full wheel alignment geometry checks / adjustments undertaken by Track Torque (Tockwith), along with rear wheel bearing replacements. This car has been meticulously maintained throughout my ownership, as demonstrated by the specification below. The bodywork has some crazing in the fibreglass as you’d expect for a Westfield of this age. Don’t really want to sell, but given I’m going to have to, I’d like it to stay within the WSCC if possible. £12,800 ono The car is located near York. Contact Martin for any enquiries mburge@sky.com Specification - Zetec 1800 engine, supplied new by Westfield Pipercross Air Filter (C603D) Jenvey Throttle bodies Dunnell Inlet Manifolds Dunnell Gas Flowed Cylinder Head Kent Cams Vernier Cam Pulleys Dunnell ZRV Camshafts ARP Rod Bolts Odyssey AGM Battery Magnecor HT Leads FSE Power Boost Valve Dunnell RMP 1960 4:1 Exhaust Manifold (non CAT) Wunnoff Repackable Exhaust Silencer Raceline Shallow Sump Gaz adjustable Monotube Dampers and Springs MBE Mappable ECU Engine Management Shift light (set @6800 rpm) 15” Team Dynamics Alloys with Toyo R888’s Ferodo Fast Road / Race Brake Pads all round Ducted nosecone Upgraded 4” Headlights Carbon effect Cycle Wings Carbon effect Stone Guards Carbon effect Rear Light Set Lockable Boot Westfield bespoke Fuel Tank with integral ‘Swirl Pot’ VDO Gauges Car will be supplied with – Original Westfield exhaust system (Integral CAT in silencer) Sidescreens, Roof Frame and Roof (I’ve only used twice) Internal Car Cover Original Westfield Dampers and springs Spare Wheel (never used), along with carrier. A box of spares and bits!!! Build Manual, records, paperwork and MOT certs from purchase through to present. Thank you for your interest.

  4. I am ok. Nothing broken (including my bike, not sure how), I’m extremely black and blue though. Hit a concrete lined ditch at 35mph plus. Had there been a car coming the other way I think the outcome would’ve been very different. Haha, on this occasion I think you’ll find he copied me! 🤪

  11. I’m new here so hello from Staffordshire. I am selling a 2022 Moto Guzzi 850 v7 stone to fund or part fund a Westie, it is black in colour so a disappointment to Flying Carrot Steve 😂 It is in very good condition and is always garaged, it has done less than 2000 miles from new and when I bought it less than a year ago I immediately fitted the best tyres possible ( Bridgestone battlax B46 ) and German made Hepco and Becker engine protection bars. I have two other bikes so I have only done a few hundred miles since buying it. It has 65 bhp but it’s party trick is its arm wrenching torque, the 850 V twin pulls like the proverbial train and always gets attention when parked up or fuelling, and the shaft drive is a real benefit. Although I don’t use it enough , it’s a beautiful bike that I’m very fond of and wouldn’t normally consider selling but I have caught a Westie infection 😂 which necessitates a potential sale. if anyone is interested please let me know, cheers Hugh

  12. Thanks Stuart. It compounds my confusion as the original colour of 'The Prisoner' S2 has always seemed much darker than mine. At least we got the nosecone right, that's original Lotus LO7.😗

  18. Sorry for the radio silence guys (work got in the way). Thank you all so much for all the responses, really appreciated. Plenty of options there for me to consider now. I'm not going to be able to make the Curborough event this Friday I'm afraid, but it does sound appealing having watched a few videos. I will look out for future events.

  24. This cracking little tool kit from (spit) Halfords. Nice and thin to fit behind a seat and room for some extras like fuses and more zip ties.

  27. When buying my first motorsport safe helmet for the Westfield, I aske in the shop what the difference, aero aids aside was between bike and car helmets. Their answer was that they're designed for very different types of accident; bike helmets were designed to protect you if you came off, hit your head against the ground, or a vehicle, and then slid, with abrasion resistance being part of it. Whilst car helmets were designed to protect your head from bouncing off the roll cage - a potentially much higher psi impact force, because of the way smaller contact area, along with a cage being brutally unforgiving against something like your head. There was also a big difference in fire protection, again, with bikers expecting to have to survive being thrown clear, whilst car drivers would be strapped in until they could extricate themselves/be extracted. That said, for just aeroscreened road use, if buying again, without having a cage, because I wear glasses, I'd probably go for a flip front helmet, which AFAIK, are only available in bike helmets?
