A hood bag from the very helpful Laura at www.tigercars.co.uk via eBay. They are happy to make them without the Tiger logo and have piping to suit most car colours. If you do go down that route, ask for the straps to be made a little longer as ours are a bit tight on the Jap rollbar. Otherwise, very pleased with it. Also a matching hat from some random safety wear company 😎

How childish - of course not. However, I do offer a tyre inflation service where the front tyres are set to 10 psi and the rears to 70 psi so the benefactor spins under the lightest of throttles.

I never thought i'd be putting my Westield 1440 Megabusa up for sale especially now after alot of time, money and effort it is running spot on, but next year on my bucket list is doing the Stelvio Pass and the other half won't go in this BEC.....she wants to go in a normal car as this one scares her too much so i've met her half way and i'll be getting a car engined Westfield.... i just haven't told here it will probably be as mad as this thing. I've owned it for nearly 2 years. The 1st year i barely drove it as i struggled with the typical on/off BEC clutch issues and the fuelling low down was awful. The start of this year i sent the car off to AJ Automotive...whilst there the clutch was fully rebuilt with the correct spacers, springs and plates...it now drives like a normal car clutch,A genuine Suzuki reg/rectifier as the copy one fitted was rubbish, new fuel filter and moved away from the hot engine in the engine bay, new fuel lines in the engine bay,new spark plugs, and an oil and filter change. It was then taken to Dan Page Motorsport for a new fuel and ignition map, end result was 219 BHP and what is now an amazing car to drive with plenty of power. It is a joy to drive now and always puts a smile on your face. I apologise in advance for the long for sale post but this is a very special high spec car. The second of our usual two track days per year is on Friday, 19th September 2025. The format for this event will be the same as in previous years. Hopefully, we will have the café open this time too! Please read all of the details below and contact me as requested please. Also, please read the following disclaimer: ** To save the WSCC from any liability issues I have to let you know that the Curborough track days have been booked by Warwickshire Area Organisers independently (as they have been for the last 15 years) and are not therefore organised or sanctioned by the Westfield Sports Car Club. ** As usual we are keeping it to only 15 cars, with first choice on the limited number of places to Warwickshire Area WSCC members, then followed by the wider WSCC membership. If all the places are not filled, I will post it on the Warwickshire Area Facebook page and accept non-WSCC members to make up the numbers. I have arranged to have the on-site café provide us with food and drinks for the day. Clearly there is an additional cost for this, so the fee has been adjusted accordingly. The costs are the same as for the May event this year, It will be £102 per car/driver including food, if all 15 places are filled. Any additional driver/passenger will be £17 to cover food only (if required). I intend to open the gates around 9am, the track will open at 10am, with lunch from 1pm until 2pm and finishing at 5pm. NOTE 1: The proposed fee will cover all the costs with a small surplus, to be donated to the appropriate WSCC charity (Air Ambulance). However, if we cannot fill all the places then I will have to ask for additional funds to cover the cost of the hire. NOTE 2: I would like all monies paid by the 5th September. I didn't realise Ron Champion had passed. I met him at his workshop/showroom in Peterborough many years ago whilst building my own Locost. Myself and my long suffering wife had been shopping and decided to turn up on the off-chance he was about. He was, and we spent the best part of 2 hours chatting about all things Locost and kit cars in general! I also got a new copy of the second edition of the book from him, which he gladly signed. My old copy of the first edition was getting quite well used! He seemed quite bemused by the success of the book and the number of people currently "in-build". An absolute Gentleman and, in my eyes, a true legend of the kit car industry. Rest In Peace Ron.

Is WSCC attending the Replica & Self Build show in an official capacity? I notice that they're doing deals on group bookings, although entry is pretty cheap anyhow (and even cheaper if you display). Also saw that Westfield Chesil are listed as an exhibitor, so looks like the factory are supporting.

Interesting, I did wonder if it would be free entry for kits. Not surprised it's not. Though they're not exactly expensive. Not sure how the camping will work, though given the fee is for up to 6 people per pitch.

I've got the Honda F20c from the S2000 in mine

I've asked for pictures, but in the meantime, he used 2 roll cage clamps per side and drilled them to accept the screen hinge pins. He also runs a windscreen and wind deflectors, with cover the gap between the screen and cage. As you know we do long runs up here and he found this set up the most comfortable. He also has a half hood for the Scottish weather. Best part is that if the weather is good he can quickly remove the screens, fold them in half and tuck them between the seat backs and cage.

Looks an amazing car! If I were younger I'd have it but I've done my bike engined years. Fabulous fun. Can you or anyone tell me, with the carbon panels all over the interior, do you get any buzzing or rattling from them ?

I've been talking to Futura about the open day, and they have suggested that we arrive there around half past 10, so there will be food left! That means an earlier start. We will meet at The Buffers, Rakehill Road, Scholes, LS15 4AL at 9:30, leaving at quarter to 10. It's around 45 minutes to Easingwold. We will go straight along the A64 and off at the York ring road. Lovely run over Clee Hills this morning with my lad. Good couple of hours, before the roads got busy. Stopped at this spot for a break, and a lovely chap who was there on a bike came over for a chat. Turned out he worked at Westfield on our cars in the 90s developing things like the V8 and a lot of other things that were still in my car now. He had some great stories. After we left, wished I'd got his name.

Finally decided to upgrade my front brakes with the Wilwood kit from Rally Design using 260mm vented discs. Forgot to order the new hoses so not going on just yet!

Alloy oil cap which I got powder coated to match the cam cover washers. Local wheels refurbisher did not even charge for it. Just put it in the oven with other bits

This is one of the few cars I've taken as example while rebuilding mine, astounding build and fantastic attention to detail. It surely deserves the price asked, I don't think there is a better sorted Seven-style car around (yes, I'm including ALL Seven-style cars, even Cats). @DMc maybe you can add the year of registration to the ad, might be useful for interested people from abroad.
