  1. And....... breathe!!! The red rocket has a fresh MOT! She had been laid up for 4 months due to work and family commitments (so needed a few quid thrown at her) but I'm so pleased my happy place is back on the road!!!

  2. Hello All, Some of you may have seen a nice orange over black FW that Toy Box sold a couple weeks back. Well that was me buying it, I am returning from my job overseas on the weekend and was wondering if there are any Westfield meets happening in the next few weeks. I am based in South Devon and am keen to meet other owners etc. Thanks Rob

  4. MoT passed this morning - at a new garage because I've moved 120 miles. Car 25 years old and I think must've been one of the first ones with a cat (which needs to be HOT), so I'm pretty relieved. My old place was brilliant - they'd even let me postpone if it rained on MoT day. New one seems friendly enough but I don't get to stay with the car anymore.....

  5. Thanks for the nice comments folks I thought I’d take some of the bodywork off (takes all of 2 minutes) to show the engine area a bit more, plus some more pics of carbon 😄

  7. Lovely car Rob! Yep, we’ve swapped from fourth Wednesday to fourth Thursday of the month, location is same ie The Halfway House, Cullompton from 19.30. There is also a pastie run being organised for 6th September, timings to be finalised but finishing in Dawlish. If you pm me your number I’ll add you to our WhatsApp group 👍

  8. Welcome Rob. That's a cracking looking car, and orange is definitely the fastest colour! @Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset is the Area Organiser for Devon and will be able to give details of the various meets. I believe they have a regular meeting on the 4th Thursday of the month - details below

  10. I had a similar experience great piece of brick, did not see it until too late, but a dirty great dent in the passenger side steel lowered floor. I've very glad it was not the same place though on the driver side as that is where the brake and fuel lines run. If I referb or build another Westi I'd not route them as guided they would be all down the tunnel sides.

  11. I’d love to join you guys on the 1st but I’ve already got an eye on 3rd. My mate is taking his Fiesta ST240 for the day testing, along with an x-touring car driver for tuition….. I’ll pop along in some capacity, even if it’s just to say ‘Hi’!

  13. You need to be a WSCC member to enter, just answer the poll question! Winner will receive: 2 x 3-day complimentary entry tickets and 1 x Westfield vehicle infield pass for Silverstone Festival 22nd to 24th August 2025. Poll closes noon Sunday 17th August 2025. Prize draw will take place on Sunday afternoon 17th August by our Club Chairman @Hedley Bennett (HB46443) - Club Chairman 😁 If you are the lucky winner you will receive the entry tickets electronically from @marcusb so I will need your email address registered with the Silverstone ticket app to forward your tickets, if you have not yet downloaded the app register here: https://events.silverstone.co.uk/account/register Note: You cannot print tickets off they must be on your phone on the app when you are at the entry gate Note: These are entry tickets only you would need to purchase your own camping tickets if staying over. PLEASE: Only vote if you are definitely free/available for the weekend to attend then the tickets do not go to waste Note: The winner will receive the infield car pass directly from Silverstone team in the post so I will need your car: Make Model Colour Year Reg and postal address by Monday 18th(am) to @marcusb please to forward to Silverstone to post the pass. Good luck!

  15. @Flying Carrot Steve Yes, we (the Dorset lot) attended the KitNet track day at Castle Combe today! Were you in your car? I can’t say I saw one plus mine was on the back of a trailer. Had a great day there, was really hot 🥵

  16. God I hate that when you can't stay with the car, I actually get anxiety most times, pacing around like an expectant father. Luckily my usual MOT guy actually wants me to stay sat in the car! Unfortunately he's flipping retired 😭 View from up top of the 4 post lift last MOT 😂😂 I'll probably never get to do that again 😥

  22. Great success! Lift is in and working and the Spitfire fits a treat, although it seems to be p*ssing petrol straight out of one carb 🙄 I need to move a scaffold pole that was used for hanging stuff off and then I can get it about another 18” higher. Certainly more than enough room for the Westfield to live on bottom bunk, I will have to protect it from golden showers though 😂

  24. You'd need to keep it registered in UK and visit UK for MOT each year. A former member did similar with a Sport 250. He worked in Barcelona.

  25. Yes its nice to stay with your car whilst getting my megablade mot done i was asked to go in the waiting room until I heard this alarming revving, crunching and grinding noise coming from the workshop so I rushed in to find a young lad who looked about 14 trying to work out how to use the westfield reverse gearbox so I promptly turned the key of and asked him to remove himself from the car and he agreed maybe it would be better if I done the brake test outside it passed

  26. I've been running chunks of what I think was concrete over, although it could've been a brick or chunk of kerbstone. I couldn't see it until the very last moment as it was the same colour as the road and in dappled shade, although I certainly felt it as it bounced the car into the air! I'm damn glad I didn't go over it a few inches to the right, as I suspect at least the sump and oil pump would've been trashed. Guess I get to practice my aluminum and steel working skills some more in the near future......
