Westfield S2000 for sale. This is my 2nd Westfield I’ve built. The first being a Sport250 ecoboost. I purchased the chassis from a club member that had got a new brand new chassis already registered from Westfield. The car is on a Q plate - so no emissions when it’s MOT time. This is the new style chassis that has come from the new Westfield factory. With integrated full cage mounts and reinforced diff area. Keyless Start, fob and blip immobilisor. The Car is booked in for a following road session the end of this month- as the Ecu only has a base map at the moment. The car has done 0 miles as it stands. Hoping to go, but it will be in the tin top, I'm afraid. (- waiting on a part for the Westfield, nothing major, but it will be a couple of weeks before I have it. It's a scuttle off job to fit, so the car is already apart, ready, while I catch up on a few other jobs under there.)3 points

You are joking!! Its 140 miles from home to Castle Combe. The car is stripped out with no windscreen and is uncomfortable to drive on the road. It may be very fast but there is little opportunity to use the speed. It is certainly not a motorway cruiser. I'll arrive Friday evening, sleep in the trailer and drive back home Saturday after the event.2 points

Thanks to Paul at Howden for helping with my renewal. Change of underwriter from Marker Study to AXA, with the same cover and excess rules, but a saving of £26 on last year's cover. However, one to watch out for, I had to give a reminder that I'm opted out of auto-renewal. Take care Gary1 point

Wow, what an opportunity! I well remember this car when Richard and Luke first built it. It is superb, and I don't remember any other car quite like it. The thought of driving it on the road.....what a giggle. My car was insane on the public road, and that had almost 60 bhp less, and would have been heavier.1 point

This event is still on this coming Sunday. If it's good weather we will go a run out around the Peak District at lunchtime too. https://greatbritishcarjourney.com/events/kit-cars-kaboodle/1 point

I really fancied a drive out yesterday, and eventually broached the idea of an early morning run with Mrs Stu, with a promise of being back by 9am when the rest of the house would just about be up and about. This received grudging approval, so the alarm went off at 6am, and by the time I had sorted myself and the dog, I headed off at around 6.35. Rough plan had been a 2.5 hour round trip in order to be home on time. I started up and headed off gently without warming the car so as to avoid disturbing the neighbours too much! First leg was down to West Bay, with the obligatory blat through Beaminster tunnel at full chat, then a fuel stop at the Esso in Bridport for some Supreme 99 and a cruise around the harbour. Without a stop, I headed along the coast road towards Abbotsbury, with its spectacular sea views, stopping at the lay-by overlooking Chesil Beach and Portland. Not sure why I look grumpy in the selfie, probably just too early and needing to concentrate to manage to take it properly 🤪! It was a bit damp out, with occasional light drizzle but the R888Rs still seemed to cope very well, plenty of grip though I was taking it fairly easy. From there it was along behind Chesil Beach and onto the Isle of Portland, winding my way uphill through town then down all the way to Portland Bill for a quick stop and leg stretch to take in the views and walk around the lighthouse and touch the obelisk (as it were 😉) Heading North now, it was fairly slow and fiddly up to Dorchester, but then I really enjoyed the stretch to Sherborne via the A352 which is a great drive, one of the best legs on the trip, fast open road with no traffic, perfect Westfield territory. Finally back through Yeovil which is a bit of a grind, but then some nice open sections home. I was back by about 9.15am, in time for breakfast and the rest of the house were just up and about. 87 miles in all, great way to start the day.1 point

I know it’s 4.45am. As some of you will know I am now fully recovered from fracturing a vertebrae (wife pushed me off a ladder). Sadly this accident has left me unable to drive Nessie for longer than 15mins. Given this I can’t leave him in the stable distressed & I need to find a new pilot. (Will have MOT for daylight running). Accepting the market is at a low point (economic conditions). I’m willing to accept £18,500. God knows what the car cost to build & develop - my estimate over £40k. Caterhams with similar performance change hands for £40k+. We all know Westfields are a much better 7. Please only seriously interested purchases. Should Maverick (Top Gun student) not step forward then sadly & with a heavy heart I will break Nessie & sell off the components. I would far rather see Nessie live on & enjoy more exciting adventures. Cheers Simon And Richard/Luke– Westfield SuperTec - 628BHP per Tonne - car well known by Troy at NMS (mapped ECU ) he is happy to discuss spec etc. Let me know if you would like to contact him so he is expecting contact.0 points
