  1. What brilliant weather we all enjoyed. Just the right temperature and warm late into the evening allowing a no jumper drive home. Good variety of cars and excellent pizzas. Great to see @Chris Emm, @Jakejmagee and the return of @MattV in the aptly named ‘Jaffa’. Ant Gilbert has swapped his Westy for a python green Cayman 718 GTS 4.0 - stunning and also quite clean 😁. Photos below are from Ant and I’ll post more when @Jakejmagee posts on FB and I can copy them! Some of my photos -

  8. You can't beat Malvern in my eyes. It's well worth the trip in our cars and the views are fantastic.

  9. Yes, Nigel Trilk promised everyone in his Saturday evening address, that imminent press releases would be shared with the club within 2, 4 or 6 weeks of the Malvern show detailing the exciting new car and engine packages

  10. If it goes ahead and if admission with a kit car is free, I might well attend simply because I live 5 miles away from Stoneleigh. As @Steve G. said, access to the showground is not fantastic right now with HS2 works but the new flyover and slip road might be completed by then. Having said that, new ventures usually struggle to survive. Shows tend to live on the nostalgia of previous shows at a particular venue, especially if it’s centrally located with relatively easy access. Malvern is undoubtedly more scenic than Stoneleigh, but not as simple to get to. I wish them well, but I don’t have my hopes up.

  11. That's a really good idea. At the moment I'm quite keen to buy something from Andrew at ToyBox cars in Lount. I'm guessing ToyBox is quite well known in this group? I do have a plan for buying from a private seller as well. The guy I use for transporting cars up and down the country is a retired mechanic. I've used him a number of times now, and I'm hoping that if I ask him nicely he'll do an inspection for me too.

  12. Hello, I’m in LA, California. I got lucky and found an early prelit Ali car. (Thank you Damion for the info) I think it’s an early 1983 car has an Jo cross flow 1275 MG with 4 spd no sync 1st gear. The car is stock outside of an MSD (I might remove now I know it’s early) and an electric fan which I’m leaving since it HOT here. It was in need of TLC when I got it so I’m just slowly getting the car sorted. The car kinda fell in lap so I’m open to any Information if I’m wrong Thanks chris

  13. Afternoon all, Pains me to do this but the time has come to sell the Westfield. Life and other commitments has meant that (other than taking it out for pictures yesterday) it's only really been out of the garage for MOT's in the last 2 years 😔 I bought the car back in 2020, starting life as a 1999 SEiW with a 2L Zetec engine, since then it's had a full chassis up rebuild and S2000 engine/gearbox fitted. I'll list a spec below but the build diary will give the full picture: https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/140363-1999-seiw-refresh-f20c-install/ MOT renewed today, expires 15th May 2026 Less than 1,000miles since it's rebuild (was at 14,880 when I put it back on the road, currently sitting at 15,765) Engine - 1999 F20c w. 94,881 miles when fitted - Oil jet bolt upgrade (common early F20c issue) - Baffled sump - Rallydesign Engine Mounts - ARF Alloy Oil Catch Can - 4x New Denso Coilpacks - OMEX 630 ECU (Mapped by Russ @ Mac Motorsport - 228.5bhp // 155.6ft.lbs) Gearbox - S2000 Gearbox (same mileage as engine) - Flywheel skimmed - Compbrake Clutch Master Cylinder - Sierra 3.91 Non-LSD Rear Diff. - Prop. Shaft fabricated by Propshaft Services in Bonnybridge Exhaust - Westfield Exhaust Manifold - Westfield Decat Secondary - Wunoff Repack Backbox (I have a backbox w. CAT for MOT) Cooling - 55mm Coolex Alloy Radiator - V8 Fan - ARF Alloy Expansion Tank Fuel - Baffled Fuel Tank w. Sump added - APS Fuel pump Wheels - Force Racing SLR9 3-piece wheels (13x7 et15) - 205/60r13 Toyo R888 Tyres Brakes - Rebuilt M16 Front Calipers - Mintex M1144 Front Pads - Rebuilt Sierra Rear Calipers - Greenstuff Rear Pads - Braided lines Chassis - All additional bracing added from a 2020 chassis added - Lowered floor pans - Additional diff. cradle bracing - All freshly powder coated (zinc primer then black powder coat) - Caged Laser Full Rollcage Suspension & Steering - AVO 7" 400lbs Front Springs - AVO 12.5" Front Dampers (Rebuilt) - AVO 8" 225lbs Rear Springs - AVO 14" Rear Dampers (New) - Rallydesign Wide Track front wishbones - Playskool Nylon Bushes - 2.4 Rallydesign Steering Rack - Go-race steering column Interior - Fibreglass Seats w. Luso Motors padding - TRS Harnesses - VDO Odometer - Revotec 10k Rev Counter - VDO Oil Temperature Gauge - VDO Oil Pressure Gauge - VDO Water Temperature Gauge - VDO Fuel Gauge - 300mm Suede Steering Wheel Carbon - Front wheel arches - Tunnel top - Bootlid - Dashboard - Kick Strips - Scuttle - Pedal Cover - Elbow Strips - Rear Bulkhead Bodywork - The bodywork isn't perfect, I purposely chose not to have all the imperfections fixed and painted when I rebuilt the car, I was scared OCD would stop me taking it out on track if I did. - Everything is presentable (as you can see from the pics), bodywork cleaned inside & out, inner wings of the tub painted black, some parts of the bonnet strengthened with carbon etc. but there are some wee cracks here and there (drivers rear arch, some marks on the nose cone) Embarrassed to say I only managed the one track day 🫢 was a good chance to put the car through it's paces and it did flush out a couple of small issues: - couple of starter motor bolts came loose, slightly longer bolts installed and torqued - fuel starvation on right handers, fuel pump has now been moved lower to underneath the diff. cradle - grease spraying from the prop. shaft, had Propshaft Services regrease it with high-temp. grease Not had a chance to get it back out on track and confirm that lowering the fuel pump has done the trick, but not had any issues with it on the road. Hard to put a price on this to be honest, especially when the only other S2000 Westfield's I could find for sale is a factory built one at Toybox for £28,995 and a Supercharged one on eBay for £32,000 😮 £20,000 ono No swaps thanks, just looking for a sale

  15. I see Westfield are listed which can't be a bad thing. My worry is that if the manufacturers have decided to go here will they want to go to Malvern as well and what will that mean for the show there ?

  18. Yeah “free” trade stands! (Not that attendance is actually free for manufacturers, given all the ancillary costs of attending and displaying). But given how the previous shows have been struggling to attract an audience, and to make ends meet financially, it’ll be interesting to see how they intend to break even, let alone a profit. Where is the shows revenue stream going to come from? Most kit owners, who let’s face it, for years actually are 90% of the show expect to pay nothing for entry with their cars, or a small token payment at best. And I’m not sure how big the attendance pool is for none owners any more, it’s shrunk massively over the decades.

  19. Some screen shots would have helped! 😉 I've found this- https://www.totalkitcar.com/2025/07/10/exciting-news-brand-new-show-for-2026-announced/ Doesn't make sense to me. The Malvern show is shrinking and setting up rival shows isn't going to help the situation. Despite having to travel further to Malvern than Stoneleigh, it's a better show ground. Holding this show at the start of the summer school hols could reduce likely attendance too.

  23. As @MattV says, there are probably local members that may be able to view the car for you before you buy.... I've looked at a few (even for buyers abroad) over the last couple of years for potential owners. Obviously, its not like getting a car inspected by a qualified mechanic but most long term owners will know the main things to look for, plus you also know the seller is genuine.
