I've owned my megablade for 18 months now and done nearly 7,000 miles in it trouble free sounds alot yes but I purchased it to drive not park on the drive to buff up.Today whilst out on a drive 30 miles from home I had my first small mechanical failure my gear shift linkage broke leaving me stuck in 6th gear so I turned round and started my journey home which included going through the middle of a large town chelmsford with multiple roundabouts, traffic lights and queues of cars in 6th gear it didn't stall once no clutch burn I was shocked I was able to do this lots of stop start and made it home no problem I can't think of another car I could have done this in pat on the bonnet for my meg. At least I learnt one thing from this I can go from 0 to 130 in one gear.8 points

Its all about the driving for me too. My "record" in one day in the Westy was the final day of a European road trip. A grand total of 1171 km. Innsbruck Austria to home in the UK2 points

Nice to meet a few of you today at Rothwell. Thanks to Robin for inviting me down. Loved the little convoy we had going, even if it was only for a mile or so. 😄. The tip that Barry gave me of disconnecting the MAF sensor, made so much difference to the accelleration it felt like a different car. AMAZING. I look forward to joining you all at Darrington in July. 😁👍2 points

Hi, I’m Northwest based but will travel. is there a list of Track day venues with dates where other members go to? I’ve done a couple of them in the past few years but have never seen another Westfield. I’m looking to book soon. Thanks Damon1 point

That's fantastic that you've been out already, just in time for the beginning of summer. For the first few miles I was listening out for strange noises and odd vibrations. I hope you don't have too many! My fuel gauge still doesn't read above 3/4 full even when full as it needs calibration. It'll never be accurate given the shape of the tank 🙂. Enjoy!1 point

Good effort, especially in a Westy. As we speak, I'm looking at routes home from Como for my trip in September, but it'll probably be a night each at Strasbourg and Bruges and definitely not home in a oner! 😆1 point

When you go into the museum, do they give you highly detailed directions and then at the end, tell you that exiting is the reverse of going in?1 point

Issue is that the grid is crap. So it's that or pylons everywhere. Great planning by our short term governments as always0 points
