A few from today's run with some MK's, around Windermere. A wee 350 miler, think we can say the new tyres are scrubbed in now.

Tbh, I was half expecting this question. Apart from my mate, with the grey one 🤣, it was my first time meeting the 3 other MK owners, so thought better of bringing up the subject at this time. The 3 other owners were from different areas of England, so the Lake District was pretty much the mid point for us all, plus we both enjoy a long run anyway. It was quite interesting though that although the 2 other cars were completed last year, neither of them had been on runs longer than 100miles and I got the feeling that they were solo runs too. It goes without saying that they really enjoyed the run and I've since been added to their WhatsApp chat, which I think is there only real contact with other owners of like cars. I'm not sure how often, these meets will take place and tbh, I'm on the road a lot anyway, so it doesn't matter so much to me. Though it occur to me that they might be missing out on group runs with like cars in their respective areas and that might be where they may potentially be interested in WSCC. Sorry for the long winded reply, but you did ask 😆

MKs sound like great cars, but that photo really does show how much nicer the Westfield styling from the front looks (better than Caterham, MK, GBS in my completely(ish) unbiased opinion)

Just been out for my first drive, a 10 miles shakedown. Running quite well, although the no fuel level showing. A positive start!

I live pretty much slap bang in the middle of 4 groups each being at least 40 minutes from me and it would be great to be able to go along to a closer area meeting. I'm considering trying to re - start what was the Wiltshire and West Hampshire area but also include Berkshire. I have spoken to a few people I know are local members plus a few who I have found elsewhere but would like to get in touch with anyone else who might be interested on here. There are a few events I was planning on going to anyway but it would be nice to come up with a reasonably central location for everyone to get to for a meeting. I've started a Facebook page so non members can see what's happening and a guy I met at a local show has joined. He has a Dutton so there will hopefully be a bit of a mix of cars involved. I will have to want and see how things go.

Thanks, I have spoken to Julie already and she suggested posting something on here. I've been doing a bit of research on here and by reading through a few of the old club magazines I got from my cars previous owner. I found out about the meetings that used to be on in Romsey and one that was help in Hampshire at the Bucks Head in Meonstoke. I used to go to Triumph car meets there around the same time just on a different night. Used to drive down from Farnborough area every month for years, I was a lot younger and more awake of an evening back then though !

Yeah they have dedicated cases available, though i had seen some people use a stick on adapter on their old case. Road tested it today and quite happy with it, nice and secure so won't fly out of the car, but the whole lot was expensive 😬

When you go into the museum, do they give you highly detailed directions and then at the end, tell you that exiting is the reverse of going in?

If anyone is interested there are still spaces at prescott Hill test day 29th March. £170 gets you about 6 to 8 runs they reckon. I am going to get a handle on the course.
