So… just putting this out there as a bit of a kite-flyer. If we can get around 20 people interested — and with a bit of luck, convert half of those — we’ll start locking in dates and sharing costs. Expect the day to come in somewhere around the £150 mark. Making a profit isn’t the goal here — not for Adam, and not for me. Hi folks, Recently joined the forum after purchasing a 2002 SEiW last weekend from a colleague. Had various cars over the years with high power but nothing has compared to the fun I had driving this home last weekend, pure joy. It currently has a 2ltr Zetec Silvertop with twin carbs. Recent rebuild of engine with Raceline head and cams. Plans are to swap the carbs for ITBs, refresh the suspension and then just enjoy. Took delivery of some Pro Race 1.2s and Rainsport 5's this week so they will be first up. One question I have is today when driving it in to work (after filling up), it cut out a couple of time on when either on a bend/turning/omn a roundabout. It's a very quick blurp and then fine again. Assuming something to do with fuel starvation but cant figure out where its came from. At the same time a slight squeal has started which seems to be coming from manifold side not the front. Anyway, great car and great fun. Hopefully meet some of the local members at some point 😁 Arran

Hi, wanted to say hello. Picked up my Westfield last week. Car was in storage and recently recommissioned and through the IVA. Pinto 2.1 from Vulcan Engineering and I’m running in gently and checking the car for every thing I can tighten! Loving it and wanting to maintain it as much as I can myself.

I currently run Nankang AR1 185 60 13 front and 205 60 13 rear. They are 5 years old and so I think that it's time for some new ones. To try and reduce high speed corner exit understeer I plan to fit 205s on the front as well. I'm not impressed by the Nankangs so thought I'd try the Toyo Proxes R888R. But there are none available. Apparently Toyo pulled out of the UK at the beginning of the year so the only way to obtain them is to order a container load which most tyre retailers can't afford to do. Demon Tweeks apparently can, but the lead time including ocean freight is 6 months, so there will be none available until the end of August. Are there any other options?

I think your be pleased with the footage with the damper as mounts go a little more expensive compared to some but loads better than most.

I'm not convinced about the damper yet, but my mate swears by it. Really need to road test it and probably a bit of tweaking too.

Quick blast out yesterday. Was rather windy

Just got myself a mini English Wheeling machine, and I've made 'thing' on it. Not large enough to make an aluminium XI body on it, but good to learn the skills for making small parts on. I've even managed to get a 3-d curve going on!
