  2. I'm still way off my target, so any further funds will be greatly appreciated from all you kind and wonderful people- It's nice to come home to this card from the great charity I'm fund raising for-

  3. It’s going to be a bit of a difficult one to answer, but it will all depend on the offset (or ET) of the wheels. Various offsets have been used over the years, but typically (and only typically) et23/24 was what most cars of your vintage would use. I believe that the 250 era cars went for a larger et40/45 ish offset on the front but not sure about the rear (maybe others will confirm). I have personally used various offsets on the front ranging from et38, et23 and even et16 (on a 6” rim). They all “fit” but do affect the scrub radius (google it for info). You can easily adjust the arches to suit too. Personally I liked et23 (7” rim) front and rear. But do remember, it’s a kit car… there is no such thing as “standard” 😁

  4. Given the popularity of this last year (Should I be worried people want to see me leave the UK ? 😆), lets do it again! @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman & @Stu Faulkner are joining me for a trip to the Alps and the Dolomites. The format will be the same as last year. Here's the start at Tagg Lane @Tim Coles car driven by his son William to Dusseldorf, and @Jakejmagee joined us for the run to Hull. Here's the cars at the Carding Shed- This turned up too, but I don't think we'll see it this year, but it's previous owner ( @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator) is more thank welcome in his new toy. just about parked at a pub in Hull We're going to try some where new this year as , the pub we've used previously doesn't serve food until 5:00pm and won't even take orders before then. Any suggestions for a suitable Westfield rabble pub, appreciated. These have been recommended previously but we've not tried- The current plan sees us meeting at Tagg Lane Dairy, in the peaks at 10:30am, leaving at 11am. We we then head to the Carding Shed in Holmefirth for lunch at about 12:15pm. We then leave the Carding Shed for Hull circa 1:30PM, aiming to arrive at a pub in Hull circa 4:00PM. We'll be keeping off motorways and city centres, where we can ! The likely route from Tagg Lane Please drop me PM's should you wish to join in at any point. We'll have a whatsapp live location group to aid finding us etc, this will be communicated closer to the date to those joining in. You're welcome to dine with us at any of the venues too, however please indicate this up front to aid bookings etc. @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator @Jakejmagee @AndrewBClarke @Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) @SigmaA @MR.C

  6. Note that if you want to use the gpx files on a Garmin, just copy them across from your PC into the gpx folder on the satnav. Don't use Garmin Basecamp or they won't work.

  7. Love Binky. My brother is actually doing a similar project. Not quite to the same bracketry level as Binky, but still a hell of a challenge. He's putting everything from a 2018 mini into a classic shell. Me old man was doing write ups of the progress. But unfortunately the project has had to take a back seat at the moment as me brothers now busy extending and renovating his new family home. Hopefully it will see completion though some day when the house and garage are finished. We really should've started a family YouTube channel, been some serious challenges on both projects and he's done all of the work himself, with help from me and our old man.

  8. Agree with @jeff oakley - When had my original engine mapped, he didn't have the MBE software but called up SBD, downloaded it and got it running sweet, much more derivable. Richard Wragg (ex OMEX owner) who built my new engine recommended him to map it from across from what Richard used on his Dyno/Omex ECU to the Interpro Dyno/MBE ECU. It will be interesting to see what the wheel dyno produces with all new engine, gearbox diff and running gear compared to the engine dyno that Richard clocked 231 Bhp on? That said i need to finish the bl**** car first!

  9. Not listed elsewhere yet. Didn’t fancy the random tyre kicking brigade round me house. Off to the Ring for a week then I’ll get my finger out. Thanks for all the positive comments 👍

  11. Holme Moss summit on way home from our Peak District and Yorkshire Dales weekender. 600mls covered and not a bit of it on a Motorway. Blessed with fantastic weather and brilliant roads.

  12. Winter/spring engine rebuild...... Core plugs and oil bungs removed and acid dipped. Block bored to 87mm Block face skimmed. Head washed and skimmed. Late crank replaced with a spare early crank I had kicking about. Wossner steel rods and Omega intruder pistons fitted. ACL race bearings. New oil pump with uprated internal gear. QED 450V cams, race springs and steel caps fitted along with solid lifters. Vernier pulleys. Other things that I can't quite remember no doubt!!! All up and running with no coolant or oil leaks. But do want to recheck the shims for the lifters. All machine work done by Grace Engine Developments which luckily are 5 mins drive away!
