  1. Holme Moss summit on way home from our Peak District and Yorkshire Dales weekender. 600mls covered and not a bit of it on a Motorway. Blessed with fantastic weather and brilliant roads.

  5. Got the 'Malvern' feeling today as we were all stood about yakking in a field for a few hours after freezing for a hour on a dual carriageway early in the morning. I thought I would park as close as possible to Bagpuss😕 The armed response had followed @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO into Curborough, which worried him slightly! @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman cosied up to them in the car park because the colour scheme matched his car. Then @Stu Faulkner and Ethan arrived @HB46443 @Mark19691 @Lee beech and Paul parked in the naughty corner with @TonyH While we all had a good catch up we watched the Caterhams on track and quickly glanced the paddocks oh fancy that, I have photographed a MX5, oops Ian led a run up to the Peak District and to Tagg Lane for ice cream. It was nice to follow someone else for a change so thank you Ian. Tagg Lane Tagg Lane ice cream Tagg Lane, ice cream all gone Everyone headed off from here in a very different direction to us, so we solo'd to The Pavilion, Baslow for a coffee before heading home. Flippin radiator fan switch isn't turning off. If anyone can source a 90 to 95 one please let me know, there are millions on ebay, huff. A champion day out, a bit last minute but glad we upped and went, great to see you all xxx

  10. Well, what a day for a run out. Sunshine all day. Great turn out of 6 Westfields, 2 bikes and 2 other cars, @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator in his new lotus and a BMW. Meeting at the Motorist at 10:30, I had my brother with me as a taster for the Lakes and Dales tour next month, we left at 11 and went to the Wheels cafe in Sykehouse, around 25 miles away. I only missed one turning, as I was looking behind to make sure we were all together and not watching the satnav. I've not been this way before. It's in a pub, but a bikers cafe which was surprisingly empty. Sausage sarnies all round. Leaving there, we took the "scenic route" around Barnsley and headed for the Carding Shed at Holmfirth. Another drink and some food and then on our way home. Sorry to leave @Steve Bosworth and @Glynn Walters eating, but I had a cold beer waiting. I did hear some murmurings about there not been enough food and cake stops, but couldn't say anything about that @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Thanks to all who came along.

  11. Hi All, Is there any of you that are thinking of doing Malvern this year in the fantastic sunshine. If you are we do have a need for some volunteers here and there to assist with this magnificent event. You won't be chucked in the deep end and it will be a great laugh plus may be a free t shirt. If you are interested please fill your details in and we will get back to you. Also if you are an AO can you please plug this in your chat groups and area meets. Cheers Bellboy

  12. Can you believe it is a decade already? 🎂 For the 10th year in a row, May the 24th is the official National Drive Your Westfield to Work Day, which contrary to the title is actually a week where we encourage you to leave the normal daily driver at home and experience driving the Westfield to your place of work, raising smiles on both your face, and those who join you in the daily drudge. Of course, some of you may no longer frequently travel to a place of work (lucky you!) so like previous years, you can also get creative and get a picture of yourself with your Westfield! A selfie, a picture taken by a member of your family... as long as it is a previously unposted recent picture, everything is submittable! You have the week from the 19th to the 25th to participate 👍 Have a look at previous years: 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 and 2017 for inspiration. Sadly I can find nothing for the 1st year, 2016, so you just have to take my word for it .

  13. I have used Dave at Interpro many times and he is very good with both Carbs and with Injection set up. I have heard the stories of them not being good but from the stories he has told me I doubt they are true. People come from having used other rolling roads and tell him they have 200BHP yet on Daves rollers they have much less, so of course he has "lost" bhp not that others inflate theirs to make people happy. On my first Westfield for example with a Pinto engine I had a print out from the previous owner that said 175 BHP, but it was undrivable. When Dave did it it needed smaller chokes and other jets. The end result was about 20bhp less but a car that pulled across the whole rev range, I was happy with what he did. Since then I have had four different cars done there and a few of my friends have also had good results. I would recommend him to anyone

  14. I was really impressed, he is well into the detail and was meticulous. Even to the point where he was getting the map he expected so checked all the cam timing just to make sure. As it happens, mapping went well but still failed it’s MOT - looks like my cat is dead. However, Interpro also make exhausts so are modifying my spare exhaust and adding in a new cat for me for £350 - which in thought was pretty reasonable.

  20. Look at the car! Look at the car! 😁 As we were invited to a cowboy themed 40th birthday for our friend, it seemed a shame not to have a photograph of her with the car. Yes there is a car in the photo if you can possibly move your eyes to the right a bit 😁
