Thanks for today Robin had a great trip. Some lovely driving roads and venues! It was nice to see @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator lotus (stunning) you may have to take me out in it next time I see you! @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative I think we ought to have a Sunday up there, look at the cakes and milkshakes😁5 points

Well, what a day for a run out. Sunshine all day. Great turn out of 6 Westfields, 2 bikes and 2 other cars, @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator in his new lotus and a BMW. Meeting at the Motorist at 10:30, I had my brother with me as a taster for the Lakes and Dales tour next month, we left at 11 and went to the Wheels cafe in Sykehouse, around 25 miles away. I only missed one turning, as I was looking behind to make sure we were all together and not watching the satnav. I've not been this way before. It's in a pub, but a bikers cafe which was surprisingly empty. Sausage sarnies all round. Leaving there, we took the "scenic route" around Barnsley and headed for the Carding Shed at Holmfirth. Another drink and some food and then on our way home. Sorry to leave @Steve Bosworth and @Glynn Walters eating, but I had a cold beer waiting. I did hear some murmurings about there not been enough food and cake stops, but couldn't say anything about that @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative Thanks to all who came along.4 points

Got the 'Malvern' feeling today as we were all stood about yakking in a field for a few hours after freezing for a hour on a dual carriageway early in the morning. I thought I would park as close as possible to Bagpuss😕 The armed response had followed @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO into Curborough, which worried him slightly! @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman cosied up to them in the car park because the colour scheme matched his car. Then @Stu Faulkner and Ethan arrived @HB46443 @Mark19691 @Lee beech and Paul parked in the naughty corner with @TonyH While we all had a good catch up we watched the Caterhams on track and quickly glanced the paddocks oh fancy that, I have photographed a MX5, oops Ian led a run up to the Peak District and to Tagg Lane for ice cream. It was nice to follow someone else for a change so thank you Ian. Tagg Lane Tagg Lane ice cream Tagg Lane, ice cream all gone Everyone headed off from here in a very different direction to us, so we solo'd to The Pavilion, Baslow for a coffee before heading home. Flippin radiator fan switch isn't turning off. If anyone can source a 90 to 95 one please let me know, there are millions on ebay, huff. A champion day out, a bit last minute but glad we upped and went, great to see you all xxx3 points

This is the first request I've seen for volunteers this year, I must have missed it. Where do I fill in the details?3 points

Given the popularity of this last year (Should I be worried people want to see me leave the UK ? 😆), lets do it again! @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman & @Stu Faulkner are joining me for a trip to the Alps and the Dolomites. The format will be the same as last year. Here's the start at Tagg Lane @Tim Coles car driven by his son William to Dusseldorf, and @Jakejmagee joined us for the run to Hull. Here's the cars at the Carding Shed- This turned up too, but I don't think we'll see it this year, but it's previous owner ( @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator) is more thank welcome in his new toy. just about parked at a pub in Hull We're going to try some where new this year as , the pub we've used previously doesn't serve food until 5:00pm and won't even take orders before then. Any suggestions for a suitable Westfield rabble pub, appreciated. These have been recommended previously but we've not tried- The current plan sees us meeting at Tagg Lane Dairy, in the peaks at 10:30am, leaving at 11am. We we then head to the Carding Shed in Holmefirth for lunch at about 12:15pm. We then leave the Carding Shed for Hull circa 1:30PM, aiming to arrive at a pub in Hull circa 4:00PM. We'll be keeping off motorways and city centres, where we can ! The likely route from Tagg Lane Please drop me PM's should you wish to join in at any point. We'll have a whatsapp live location group to aid finding us etc, this will be communicated closer to the date to those joining in. You're welcome to dine with us at any of the venues too, however please indicate this up front to aid bookings etc. @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator @Jakejmagee @AndrewBClarke @Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) @SigmaA @MR.C2 points

I am amazed this has not sold yet. Fab engine, top notch spec and cheap enough. I'm guessing Cat C may put some people off but given the nature of kit cars and how many times they get built, rebuilt, modified and messed about with etc, a car with a new chassic, nosecone, bonnet, high spec and also great wheels is a good way to go IMHO, undoubtedly better than some/many cars that are not Cat C.2 points

Yeah it had a new chassis so was effectively started again. The engine alone is probably £8K looking at the SBD website2 points

Hi All, Is there any of you that are thinking of doing Malvern this year in the fantastic sunshine. If you are we do have a need for some volunteers here and there to assist with this magnificent event. You won't be chucked in the deep end and it will be a great laugh plus may be a free t shirt. If you are interested please fill your details in and we will get back to you. Also if you are an AO can you please plug this in your chat groups and area meets. Cheers Bellboy1 point

But apart from being an MOT tester, MOT tester trainer, MOT manager, MOT manager trainer, and 50 years of MOT experience, and a great club member and Area Organiser, what has Martyn ever done for us? 🤣1 point
