That’s a huge understatement - in my view, for any competitive event, it is essential not advisable to replace the “jap” (aka chocolate) cosmetic roll bar with something that would actually save your life in the event of a rollover.3 points

Best way to save weight for sure, not the cheapest tho 🤣 But I can vouch for Ash's parts quality, gorgeous stuff. Surely the best Westfield carbon parts money can buy.3 points

... I think @Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somersetis taking orders for seats/padding. I'm pretty sure his come in for less than £400 a side.2 points

I did, probably the best location to have it installed in my car, away from the heat soak of the engine bay. Entirely designed in CAD by myself, then built by ProAlloy to the exact spec.2 points

Afternoon all, Pains me to do this but the time has come to sell the Westfield. Life and other commitments has meant that (other than taking it out for pictures yesterday) it's only really been out of the garage for MOT's in the last 2 years 😔 I bought the car back in 2020, starting life as a 1999 SEiW with a 2L Zetec engine, since then it's had a full chassis up rebuild and S2000 engine/gearbox fitted. I'll list a spec below but the build diary will give the full picture: https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/140363-1999-seiw-refresh-f20c-install/ MOT renewed today, expires 15th May 2026 Less than 1,000miles since it's rebuild (was at 14,880 when I put it back on the road, currently sitting at 15,765) Engine - 1999 F20c w. 94,881 miles when fitted - Oil jet bolt upgrade (common early F20c issue) - Baffled sump - Rallydesign Engine Mounts - ARF Alloy Oil Catch Can - 4x New Denso Coilpacks - OMEX 630 ECU (Mapped by Russ @ Mac Motorsport - 228.5bhp // 155.6ft.lbs) Gearbox - S2000 Gearbox (same mileage as engine) - Flywheel skimmed - Compbrake Clutch Master Cylinder - Sierra 3.91 Non-LSD Rear Diff. - Prop. Shaft fabricated by Propshaft Services in Bonnybridge Exhaust - Westfield Exhaust Manifold - Westfield Decat Secondary - Wunoff Repack Backbox (I have a backbox w. CAT for MOT) Cooling - 55mm Coolex Alloy Radiator - V8 Fan - ARF Alloy Expansion Tank Fuel - Baffled Fuel Tank w. Sump added - APS Fuel pump Wheels - Force Racing SLR9 3-piece wheels (13x7 et15) - 205/60r13 Toyo R888 Tyres Brakes - Rebuilt M16 Front Calipers - Mintex M1144 Front Pads - Rebuilt Sierra Rear Calipers - Greenstuff Rear Pads - Braided lines Chassis - All additional bracing added from a 2020 chassis added - Lowered floor pans - Additional diff. cradle bracing - All freshly powder coated (zinc primer then black powder coat) - Caged Laser Full Rollcage Suspension & Steering - AVO 7" 400lbs Front Springs - AVO 12.5" Front Dampers (Rebuilt) - AVO 8" 225lbs Rear Springs - AVO 14" Rear Dampers (New) - Rallydesign Wide Track front wishbones - Playskool Nylon Bushes - 2.4 Rallydesign Steering Rack - Go-race steering column Interior - Fibreglass Seats w. Luso Motors padding - TRS Harnesses - VDO Odometer - Revotec 10k Rev Counter - VDO Oil Temperature Gauge - VDO Oil Pressure Gauge - VDO Water Temperature Gauge - VDO Fuel Gauge - 300mm Suede Steering Wheel Carbon - Front wheel arches - Tunnel top - Bootlid - Dashboard - Kick Strips - Scuttle - Pedal Cover - Elbow Strips - Rear Bulkhead Bodywork - The bodywork isn't perfect, I purposely chose not to have all the imperfections fixed and painted when I rebuilt the car, I was scared OCD would stop me taking it out on track if I did. - Everything is presentable (as you can see from the pics), bodywork cleaned inside & out, inner wings of the tub painted black, some parts of the bonnet strengthened with carbon etc. but there are some wee cracks here and there (drivers rear arch, some marks on the nose cone) Embarrassed to say I only managed the one track day 🫢 was a good chance to put the car through it's paces and it did flush out a couple of small issues: - couple of starter motor bolts came loose, slightly longer bolts installed and torqued - fuel starvation on right handers, fuel pump has now been moved lower to underneath the diff. cradle - grease spraying from the prop. shaft, had Propshaft Services regrease it with high-temp. grease Not had a chance to get it back out on track and confirm that lowering the fuel pump has done the trick, but not had any issues with it on the road. Hard to put a price on this to be honest, especially when the only other S2000 Westfield's I could find for sale is a factory built one at Toybox for £28,995 and a Supercharged one on eBay for £32,000 😮 £22,000 ono No swaps thanks, just looking for a sale1 point

The Westfield RAC bar is not MSUK compliant for motorsports due to the tube diameter and use of rose joints on the back stays.1 point

We try to, but lots of us are retired and often on extended holidays😎 just keep an eye on here and when we say we’re at home we will be there, but there’s nout to stop anyone else to give a shout out for a convenient meeting👍1 point

Hi Martyn, I'm having to pull out of this event due to work commitment, I'm sorry for the short notice. Rusty1 point

That is mad! Another option is put on some weight so you are nicely ‘tight’ in the seat. Acceptable with age.1 point

Nice car, good luck with the sale. The zetec r is quite happy in my car too👍1 point

The secret is out!! Well spotted @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO. We were at H and H Car Auction, Buxton Pavillion. Our friend from the car museum bought that truck in the background, he drove it home to Derby that evening, in the dark (it was winter) with brakes that barely worked. It was a funeral directors truck and has now sold it on at good profit.1 point

Excellent and hope it lasts. At least now you know it's a weak point and can keep an eye on it. I always check it during pre-run checks and especially before a long run, it's a good habit to get into.1 point
