  1. Gorgeous day. Popped to a farm for eggs. Stopped off at daughters house to say hi to her dog. Managed to separate her from a random family that were out for a wander. Then took my bike out for first ride of the year.

  2. Made a run down to the Ace Cafe this evening for a classic car, Midget, Sprite and Lotus evening. I got sandwiched between a Caterham and a 'donor' car (MG Midget), but I think I got away with it ..πŸ˜…. It was dark when we left, so the first time driving in the dark, and around the A406 North Circular road to add to the excitement.

  8. I will be there, probably get there 10 - 10.30, I usually start out on the inside of Lodge, then if I’m feeling energetic I go over the bridge and go to the outside of Old Hall, I then return to the paddock for a quick mooch around during the lunchbreak. Then I drive out and round to the Knickerbrook entrance and up to Island/Esso for the rest of the meeting. see you thereπŸ‘

  11. Hi, I've just rejoined the club after a few years away as I've recently bought a new car. Anyone know it? It started life as an early (1990 chassis) wide body cross flow in green. It was painted red at some stage in its life and then substantially rebuilt by someone in the 2000s who converted it to its current Puma 1.7 Sigma engine. It was then repainted again to it's current blue colour scheme by the previous owner. It's a bit poorly at the moment. The ECU config / map has been messed up and I was told before I bought it that it's down on compression on 3&4 so that needs investigating next. It's clearly been left outside and got wet but although the carpets have suffered, the chassis etc seems to have survived OK. First step is getting it running and then I'll make it look a bit more loved. I've already got a list of parts needed in the wanted section. I'd really like some different wheels!

  16. Hi Stuart, yes we are. I think we have 4 or 5 of us coming and staying in castle Cary. All we have done so far is book accommodation and breakfast tickets. We still need to work out the rest of the plan but hopefully something like I published above.

  21. I simple terms it was always believed that cross plies gave a better feel and you could control slides whereas radial gave better ultimate grip but could break away much quicker than cross plies.
