  1. Well what can you say about today apart from absolutely bl**** brilliant. Plenty of sun shine all day long. There drive out was awesome going though the peaks. The hills are alive with the sound of pop pop bangs. For dinner we then stopped off at the travelers rest for some well deserved steak and ale pie, at least I did. It was also very funny that a certain someone had ordered their food first and got it served last while we all enjoyed ours. @Andrew Clarke. Nom Nom Nom.

  2. What a beautiful day we've had around the Peaks, thanks to Julie for organising. We've had a good laugh, great views and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sue says, "The pork / lamb dinner wasn't bad either."😁

  3. Brilliant day out again. Fantastic weather and what a great bunch of people. Special mention for our illustrious leader @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative for organising us. The only photo I’m going to post is my Sunday lunch. Chosen, ordered and paid for by me - eaten by Sue Westwood - who doesn’t seem to know the difference between lamb with mint sauce and the pork that she ordered. Next time I’ll insist on collecting it from the bar 😁

  4. We all met at the car museum for breakfast The traffic was building up on our way out this morning so we altered the route and went off piste. So glad we did, we had a great run and well done to everyone for keeping it all together. We arrived at the pub early, just in time for Jim and Julie to follow us into the car park, good timing. I am hoping the Westfield is easier to park than the SLK @Andy Westwood Lovely photo of Dave (who has his dinner btw) Oh look, Sue has got her dinner, well someone's dinner, any dinner will do hey! Yummy, I'm enjoying mine but look, Andrew seems to still be waiting Ah lovely, finally Andrew get's his lamb dinner. Sue says can you order beef next time for a change! Everyone sat outside the Traveller's Rest Parked at the Traveller's Rest Next we went to Bird Cafe, Hathersage for dessert It seems @aeg had picked up some road kill along the way

  12. Hi everyone, This is my first time posting on these forums, but I've done loads of searching and reading and found heaps of good info! I have a SEiW with a V8 bonnet and a few days I saw on a FB post about how the scoop is a little wonky and now that I've seen it, I can't un-see it!! I work with composites, and would like to eventually like to make all new carbon panels for my car, starting with the bonnet. But of course I now don't want to go through the effort of making a mould from my current bonnet and then a new bonnet for it to also be wonky. Has anyone tried to fix their scoops? Or done any design work to have the scoop properly placed? I'd ideally like to find either a good mould or some cad files that I can make a new part with. Very much looking forward to getting my car out to some trackdays in the summer!!! Specs - Mazda 1.8L turbo, 370BHP (full boost), anti-lag, 10.5 inch rears. Next big upgrade - Quaife sequential box Thanks Jaime (Devon/Barbados)

  13. I saw that FB post so went and checked mine in the garage. I can't see anything out of line at all tbh, all spot on on my car.

  14. If I get the car back together in time (I had recent throttle cable mishap!) I might pop up for breakfast.... I'm currently upside down in the footwell with a handful of wires, and a mouthful naughty words 😂😂 For anyone heading to Donington this morning, one of our members (Grant who also races Porsches) is doing the 750MC test/track day. Free spectating at Donington today and Grant will be in Garage 35 if you want to say hi

  16. Bristol, Bath & Cotswolds area, breakfast runout to The Classic Motor Hub at Bibury. Aiming to be there for soon after 10am when the Club Room Café opens. If you'd like to join us, we'll have an organised run up there, so you can join in the route along the way, or just come and meet us at the café for 10am. If anyone wants to join the run, below is a rough idea of the route I have in mind, starting at the Winford Arms (or adjacent layby) and with another pick up at the Cross Hands, then up into the Cotswolds. Once we know who's coming we can work out the times for any meets along the way. This will be my first decent runout of the year so I'm looking forward to this, I'm sure the weather will be kind...

  17. I had a run over to Oulton Park today, as there was a MSV run trackday on. Firstly to get my car sound checked and secondly to observe what the standard of driving looked like. Happy to say my car is relatively quiet at 96.5db for the static test, and the standard of driving looked good. Some nice looking Westys, on track and quite a few Caterham. Green car below was very well preped with lots of carbon 🤩 Duratec Engined Car, also looked nice.

  23. 2 very nice cars there, thanks for sharing your pics on here 👍 I love the green one obvs, but I have never seen a Westfield with a Union Jack colour scheme before and have I often tried to imagine how it would be done, I must say that is AMAZING Can't work out what the brake light provision is on the green one, just a thought 🤔?

  28. That was probably the best turnout to a GBS coffee morning. The weather was perfect and there was a good selection of cars to take a look at. Westfields were in attendance in good numbers. Photos stolen from @Jakejmagee so thanks to him. There is also a great video on the GBS facebook page.

  35. Thanks all - really helpful! I've always enjoyed getting the most out of a car (I should say trying to get the most - I'm not the best diver!) and in many ways my most enjoyable car to drive was my first car, a very slow metro. But that metro was driven to an inch of its life every day!
