A friend of mine has started producing garage flags for various car brands (see pic for my TVR one) He is thinking of doing them for Westfield owners too. Does anyone know if this would give him any copyright issues? And would that also apply to the old logo (without the union flag segment)? They are great quality and really look great hung up above a car in the garage!

Ian, I think he makes some very valid points, but I work mainly in Automotive manufacturing & most OEM’s are well pizzed with recent/current government for the botched attempt and timing at removing ICE and their total inability to support EV - flats, terraced houses, etc One major OEM I was working with 7 years ago had stated they shouldn’t have invested in EV and should have gone down the Hydrogen Cell route, which is still a possibility for many. However, for me & for selfish reasons I fear what the cost per litre & what level of TAX will be applied to fuel (petrol) in the future when demand drops off a cliff - Kit & Classic drivers will be treated like pensioners in No’s 10 & 11 whilst I’ll continue to think of them as a bunch of No.2’s

Any good local fabrication shop should be able to make one up from a damaged sample. Andy at Siltech sells his stays for his uprights. I’m sure he could do something for you too. Andy

Many of you will be aware of this book, published back in 2000: Due to it being out of print for many years and rare used copies being on sale for at least £35, I decided to try to track down the authors and see if I could permission to create a digital copy for the club's archives. After quite a bit of investigation work, I finally tracked down Jeremy Bouckley today and we had a lovely long chat on the phone. Now truth be told, I know about copyright laws and my begging bowl request was rather cheeky, so I wasn't surprised or upset when he very, very politely turned my request down. On the good news front though, he is working on an updated version of the book to bring it up to current, with plans to print and sell them. I've asked him to keep in touch with me with any developments on that front so I can pass it on to the rest of the club. Fingers crossed! Oh well, it was worth a try...

Watch this for a more sensible approach to the ban- Harry's Garage shame UK gov isn't likely to be sensible and will continue to see the motorist as a cash cow!

Have you called Siltech? https://www.siltechracing.com/ I'm not sure if there billet upright has the wing stay holes in the same place as yours, however they should be able to copy your good item-
