  3. Thanks for all the replies and messages, on here and elsewhere, it’s great to have the support. Here’s some plans for the year ahead. Runouts: Seems like some regular Sunday morning breakfast runouts are the way to go, and I’ve come up with these for 2025: Sunday 9 March - run to The Classic Motor Hub Sunday 6 April - run to Five Zeros Supercars Sunday 4 May - run to Haynes Breakfast Club Sunday 25 May - Horton Classic Vehicle Meet and then run to AV8 cafe Sunday 22 June - run to The Old Prison Sunday 3 August - run to Baffle Haus Sunday 14 September - TBC Sunday 5 October - TBC I’ll post up the details of each run separately and we can arrange timings and meeting points etc, based on who’s coming. And as well as the runouts, there’s lots more happening - Track days: As usual there’s lots of track day activity throughout the year from the group. Castle Combe is our home track and we can often be found there, plus some of us are heading to Llandow, Donington Park and other tracks this year. There is a double-header trip to Anglesey and Oulton Park, and Kitnet also have their annual private charity kit car track day at Castle Combe (jump on to their website for details). I’ll post details of the main events separately. Events: Malvern of course, joining the convoy as it passes through, and I’m also going to try the new Lincoln show this year. We also have loads of local events and meets, again I’ll post these up separately when we get involved. One local event is the Cotswold Barn car and bike evening meet, which happens monthly, and I’m planning for the first one on Wednesday 2 April. And probably more that I’ve forgotten to mention!

  5. Hi All. East Anglia Area meeting will be at Arbuckles Downham Market for 10am. We will be meeting in our cars or tintops if you have still not finished all your winter rebuilds. It will be a time for catching up and having a few laughs and also discussing the yearly meetings. We will be having breakfast or Cake so Let's please make this a great meetup for the area. If it's raining then the meeting will still go ahead but you will either be dry in your tin top or slightly damp in the sevens car. If it's snowing then there will be a snow ball fight. Hehe. Would be nice to meet new people too so if you have not been along to one of our meetings before then this is your chance. We don't bite. Martin aka Bellyboy

  9. Thanks @Flying Carrot Steve, I’ll be relying on you as the fount of all knowledge on these things! I go up to AV8 quite often and can never remember which day it is they’re shut. If they don’t reinstate Sundays by then, we’ll pick somewhere else when the time comes.

  10. Haynes Motor Museum (Yeovil) Breakfast Meet May 2025 I'm looking to gauge interest in attending the Haynes breakfast meeting on May 4th. Sadly I can't make Malvern this year and as I normally attend that with a friend who owns a Caterham I've suggested we replace it with an overnight trip to Haynes. My plan is, Saturday Morning - head west towards Yeovil and take a scenic route Saturday Afternoon - visit the museum (entry ticket is then valid for 1 year) Saturday Evening - stay somewhere local (eg Castle Cary) Sunday Morning - attend breakfast meet Sunday Afternoon - meander home At this early stage of arranging; It is a ticketed event (£5) and people will need to book accommodation. I've got no idea of numbers or interest as to how big a hotel we might need 😁 Ben (Kent AO) is also talking about doing something similar and of course I'm happy to help co ordinate for members in Hampshire and surrounding counties. If people just want to attend the Breakfast meet and skip Saturday then that is absolutely fine too. If the weather is rubbish then we can quickly swap to rainy day cars I'm aware May 4th clashes with Goodwood and some may prefer to head to that. cheers Martin
