  5. The studs are sticking out past the spacer. I was expecting to have to cut them shorter, but found that my alloys have recesses between the stud holes on the inside. So the wheels sit on, no problems at all. This has made me even happier with the whole thing, as I can retain the original stud lengths and revert back without issue now, If I ever wanted to.

  6. Some wheels have pockets on the back that give enough space for the original studs to fit uncut.

  7. Hi. Be gentle! I have just bought a Toy Box Westfield. I have been out for a couple of runs round the country roads near me, but after half a mile my eyes were watering and I could hardly see! I know it’s cold, but I was so excited to have a first drive! So my question is.. Do you wear a bike helmet? Goggles? Just put the side doors on? Any advice would be very much appreciated!

  8. I thought you northerners were all tough? 😂 Just shy of 200 miles round trip to the MK open day last Saturday. Aeroscreen and no heater but I do have half doors and a heated jacket for when its below 8'. Once I'm on the road I get all the comfort I need from the V8 exhaust note. Kenton pic from warmer weather last year. Millau bridge

  10. Thanks for all the replies and messages, on here and elsewhere, it’s great to have the support. Here’s some plans for the year ahead. Runouts: Seems like some regular Sunday morning breakfast runouts are the way to go, and I’ve come up with these for 2025: Sunday 9 March - run to The Classic Motor Hub Sunday 6 April - run to Five Zeros Supercars Sunday 4 May - run to Haynes Breakfast Club Sunday 25 May - Horton Classic Vehicle Meet and then run to AV8 cafe Sunday 22 June - run to The Old Prison Sunday 3 August - run to Baffle Haus Sunday 14 September - TBC Sunday 5 October - TBC I’ll post up the details of each run separately and we can arrange timings and meeting points etc, based on who’s coming. And as well as the runouts, there’s lots more happening - Track days: As usual there’s lots of track day activity throughout the year from the group. Castle Combe is our home track and we can often be found there, plus some of us are heading to Llandow, Donington Park and other tracks this year. There is a double-header trip to Anglesey and Oulton Park, and Kitnet also have their annual private charity kit car track day at Castle Combe (jump on to their website for details). I’ll post details of the main events separately. Events: Malvern of course, joining the convoy as it passes through, and I’m also going to try the new Lincoln show this year. We also have loads of local events and meets, again I’ll post these up separately when we get involved. One local event is the Cotswold Barn car and bike evening meet, which happens monthly, and I’m planning for the first one on Wednesday 2 April. And probably more that I’ve forgotten to mention!

  14. Congrats on buying your Westfield! As above, side doors or wind deflectors will help stop the wind buffeting and the subsequent tears. In winter though I do often drive with a helmet on, keeps you warm, but it is a personal preference thing as I know some don’t like the faf of a helmet

  15. If you have a windscreen rather than an aero screen, you are suffering from a common ailment known as Westie Nose, which occurs at speeds over 50mph when side doors or wind deflectors are not installed. The air rushes around the windscreen and smacks you straight in the face, making breathing difficult. As mentioned, the two cures are using the doors or Perspex wind deflectors, which are very effective and less claustrophobic.

  16. In many ways, a Seven is a 4 wheeled motorbike. Assume the defensive approach at all times as you ARE more vulnerable. Been driving ours 34 years now. So far, the only accident happened when it was parked and unoccupied.
