  1. Looks like the Search “flood control” was set (which I don’t think it used to be for members). Might have changed after an update, but I have now changed it back. Non members will still be limited to how many searches they can perform though. Post here if there’s still an issue.

  2. Hi all, I recently just got myself a Westfield from auction. The original owner built himself and it has 4k miles. Great to find this place! I am not familiar with all the body styles / models(?) of Westfield so if anyone can share information about what I have that would be great! here’s what I think I have: - 1999 SEi - 2.0 mountune built zetec on Jenvey throttle bodies - mt75 gearbox / LSD

  3. And , just thought (don't be put off by this ! ,in fact, at least for me and looking at plenty build threads there, not only for me , that it's part of whole fun with all that "kitcaring") - apart fom safety vs trucks and SUV's, there is another area of safety in used kitcars - for example : cracked fuel tubes, inproper fuel lines clamps, rusted suspension elements , undone suspension, propshaft or driveshaft bolts, air in brake lines, poor aligment, rust everywhere ... etc etc. So worth to consider choosing from who You are buing, or (better but takes some time) take almost whole car apart and put togheter with lot of fresh parts - You will know what You have that way and gain confidence of (kit)car.

  4. Well, I didn't think it would be this quick - but the time has come. I know BEC's don't tend to sell too well on here, but i thought i would give it a go anyway. Will also be on eBay shortly. Ad below, straight copy and paste for what I have written for elsewhere..... I know this couldn't be advertised at a worse time of year, but having realised that I’ve lost the love for it, it’s time for a change. A bit of background to start, I bought it in March 2023 knowing it was mechanically spot on, but it needed some cosmetic TLC. I drove it for the spring/summer of 23 with the intention to strip it down over the winter and spend some time and money making it mint. It took longer than I expected and I finally completed it in September 24. Below is the spec and the work I have completed in my ownership. 2004 Westfield Megablade ZX10R, freshly painted in Wimbledon White with BRG stripe. 2007 ZX10R Gen 2 motor, 175bhp (weighs circa 460kg), revs to 13k and pulls very well. MAC airbox. Gearbox refurbed prior to my ownership as it kept popping out of 4th gear. Power commander speedo healer to standard ZX10R clocks. The clocks were fitted with 20k on them prior to my ownership. I would estimate it has no more than 5k miles on it in total, you can check the online MOT history if you like. No reverse as they are all pretty crap. I had a Quaife one in a previous car and it was clunky, don't even entertain the electric ones as they are even worse. I can push it around with ease. Sierra (7”) 3.38 diff with LSD. I have a litre of oil that i haven't had a chance to put in it. Coolex radiator. Does not get over 100 degrees, even in town in the summer. Lightweight battery with FIA cut off. Solid M16 brakes with AP master cylinder. Discs on the rear, Westfield hubs. Quick rack, 2.1 lock to lock, refurbed and new Powerflex mounts. Carbon kevlar panels throughout, floor, transmission tunnel, bulkhead and boot. Interior is carpeted (not that it does a lot!). GI Pro gear indicator. JK Composite seats with Schroth harnesses (not in date) - I fitted a 6 point (anti sub belt) to the passenger seat so my daughter could come out with me. Easily removed if required. Repackable exhaust, I took the wadding out for a few days and it is mental. It's now fully packed and most of the noise is induction. Fire extinguisher. Carbon NV cycle wings (new) Carbon NV arch covers (new) Carbon Aeroscreen painted gloss black. F1 style mirrors. GRP dash (I had intended to change this to a carbon one). OMP flat bottom wheel with quick release and OMP 50mm spacer. Wema fuel gauge and sender (new). Front wishbones refurbished, new powder coat and polybushes. New ball joints and drag links. Protech shocks refreshed and springs powder coated. Uprights stripped and repainted. Steering column stripped and repainted. New front wheel bearings. Body stripped and repainted in Wimbledon white with BRG stripe, backed with a generous coat of stone chip to alleviate any potential crazing. New rubber bonnet mounts & catches. New nosecone grille and westfield badge colour matched to body. Bonnet vents redone. LED headlights. New side repeaters and front indicators. Headlight bowls stripped and painted gloss black. MOT friendly number plate is included. New rear lights, mounts and wiring connections, inc number plate light. New 7x13 & 6x13 superlights in go faster gold. Toyo R888R tyres all round. 205 rear, 185 front. Bad bits There are a few micro bubbles on the bonnet vinyl, i think it was too cold when i did it. I have enough spare for it to be redone. Starter motor is a bit noisy when cold, but starts on the button. I would get it corner weighted and set up, I had intended to do this but i’m only 80kg and it would be a waste of time if someone new is going to jump in it. I’m sure there are other bits I have forgotten, please feel free to ask if you have any questions. I completely understand that prices are depressed at this time of year. I'm not in a rush to sell, but at the same time, I could do with freeing up some space. The car is currently in storage to stop my wife nagging that it's an expensive ornament in the garage and getting in the way. Viewings will be at the storage facility and test drives will be with me driving. Price is £11.5k on here, will be up for £12k on eBay. I’d probably consider a P/X, but only for something interesting that doesn't have to stay in the garage. I'm based in Cwmbran, 10 mins north of Newport. Storage facility details will not be provided for obvious reasons. Thanks for looking. Darren

  7. 1st 2.98 and seals , gaskets - from Burton Power . Synchros from Motomobil.de Work - service and bearings - local in Poland, service specialised in Motorsport rally cars boxes and diffs, which previously fabricated for mine track Westfield mt75 with H type straight gears dog box with choosen ratios also with long 1st, and few differentials . But no acrobatics this weekend- found some Play in UJ joint on proposhaft.. (only 5k kilometers from build, ppor UJ) Hope next weekend to install all properly.

  11. I have to personally thank Tesco for helping me quit my Cadbury Dairy Milk habit. I refuse point blank to pay 5 quid for the newest biggest bar of 360 grams. I have over the last year carefully watched Tesco set us all up for this adduction by price controlling and manipulation with their 'fake' discount offers. It's absolutely disgraceful what they get away with doing to their customers in the pursuit of yet even more billions in profit.

  12. Thanks for the info Steve. I have a habit of saying it is no secret why I am the size I am, and that it took a lot of expense in chocolate and pies to get here! 😟 I know I can lose weight. Prior to Covid I lost over 40kg through diet and exercise. I kept this off through most of Covid but somewhere around the last lockdown I lost the plot and it has crept back up since then. I have a kind of ‘switch’, so can be quite polarised in that I’m either on it or not. Hopefully I will re find my way and get back on it, I will certainly be much more comfortable in the car when I do, and it might even go faster 🤣. The car isn’t going anywhere, I’m committed to it so will just have to ensure I can get into it more comfortably in future…. So, if you see me, don’t offer me cake! 🤪🤣 BTW, this is my motivation to do it again! I know that I can. I might even iron the shirt next time, I didn’t need to in the image on the left!
