  3. You've never been on a North East Aerosceener's Seven Heaven Tour then 😆 The more sevens that join in the fun, the more chance of a breakdown - but in fairness the hose that we keep stopping to fix on a bi-annual basis is one that is attached to a Cossie turbo'd Dax Rush 4x4.

  5. 7s Speed Series – 2025 Welcome to the newly launched 7s Speed Series – Sprint & Hillclimb Championship for 2025. It is aimed at attracting 7s Type cars and providing a friendly and inviting challenge for those that want to have a go at Motorsport, specifically Sprint & Hillclimb’s which are a great entry to any Motorsport. Safe and a lot of fun to partake in with a friendly bunch of people in the Paddock always willing to help out. It has been born out of the very successful Westfield Club Championship originally started in 1998, so plenty of experience in running this kind of Championship. Having seen many a 7 at Hillclimb or Sprint, competing in a class by themselves, we wanted to give then a Championship that they could compete against similar cars. The classes have been chosen to fit in with many of the Clubs whose events we will attend but also specifically restricted to the known 7s type cars out there, whilst at the same time having classes for more usual Kit Cars. The Scoring is based on % to the 2nd place competitor in each class as shown in the regs. This has proved to be very successful by many of the Sprint & Hillclimb Clubs. By not using records every round is competitive no matter the weather. We have a total of 32 events for 2025 with 13 Hillclimb’s and 19 Sprints all over the country. Looking forward to some great Motorsport in 2025. Entries will be open by Mid-January. 7s Speed Series 20025 Draft Regs.pdf

  7. Been off road since the summer solstice, still in progress. Oil filter housing was swapped to the replacement engine last night. Sump, ITBs, water dist block, belt and pulleys plus flywheel and clutch still to go before I can try connecting the gearbox to it...

  10. @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO Figured it out - your account was in the wrong User Group. You were in UK Member with Mag instead of Area Organiser and no, I don’t know why, but I fixed it. You should now have full access to the calendar again.

  11. I have the same issue. I can only create events in the track day calendar. If I select local events calendar, I can look but can't add

  12. @RickRack, I mean using a pair of these on a short length of hose, to bridge across a split I did have a hose split (more like wear through) last summer. A spare like this would have helped. Well if the engine wasn't actually ruined as well 😁

  13. Don't think I've ever seen them in stock, like you, I thought they were all made to order. (We have far more variations than Caterham do, so too many different options to keep on the shelf).

  14. As someone with a very non-OEM engine and drive train, there's next to nothing I expect to be able to fix at the roadside past, maybe, a blown coolant hose. As such I carry my phone, occasionally my wallet, and a small bottle of brake/clutch fluid as my clutch slave weeps at times. With all the extra bodywork on the XI, there's next to no chance of me jacking it up or doing any big jobs at the roadside as it needs a trolley jack. So anything like a tyre needs the assistance of the truck of shame. The only issue I've had so far has been the clutch, which is impossible to even see at the roadside,so I just don't think about it!
