Not Westfield related, but I received a 3D printer for my birthday recently and have been quite amazed by what can be achieved with it. Amongst many other things, it allowed me to finally sort out mounting a big screen in our lounge for a proper home cinema. Our usual TV is an old 32” Panasonic jobby I got free from my time working with them, so we have gone from the sublime to 120” of ridiculousness 🤣. I already had a nice 1080P projector, a surround sound system and some aluminium pole. So, I designed (very simply on Tinkercad) and printed some brackets to hold the pole and some hooks to attach a screen I bought from Amazon to the poles. Some old IKEA racking from the garage gave me a way of getting the projector high enough, and Bob was indeed your uncle. It’s all easily removeable, including the brackets so can be setup or packed down fairly easily. I may add some side bars to tension the screen better, and will find a neater way of managing the cabling etc but this all worked well. We quickly abandoned our planned ‘Love Actually’ debut film due to too much swearing for our ten year old (we stupidly had forgotten all those bits! 😱🤪) and ended up with ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’, all good fun. Many more movie nights to come hopefully.8 points

A phenomenal turn out at the car museum from the classic cars with roofs and heaters, makes me even more proud of those that came in the kit cars, @Jakejmagee and @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman We soon scurried into the cafe and were delighted when Hedley and Tony joined us. Hedley had his new toy, a sooooper dooooper camera that you need a degree in photography to use. We are lucky to have Jake and Hedley who are both excellent at videos and photos. (new camera can just be seen on the windowsill behind Hedley's head) We went outside for a look around the cars before going for a drive out. Camoflaged Westfield's Only Dave was joining us for the run as others had leave. We went for a pose through Matlock Bath and Bakewell before going up over Monsal Head to land at the Yondermann. Normally a bikers cafe but today the weather was not perhaps inviting enough for them. The Yondermann So after a hearty lunch and homemade tray bakes it was time to head off. Thanks for coming everyone and see you all on New Years Day at Carsington Water. Everyone welcome, any car, if it's raining we will be in the MX5.5 points

It is so important that we begin to understand that life is getting harder for some and social media can make people feel like failures when they are not or with so many bad stories that somehow life is pointless. Men in particular do not talk about things affecting them be it mental health or concerns about other male only issues. The motorcycling community is good at offering help but sadly one young guy took his own life on Christmas Eve local to me. No family should have to go through that and no individual should feel so helpless when there is help out there. We must all continue to make it easy for people to seek help and not make them feel bad. When I told my Mum I was suffering from depression some years ago her reaction came from an age where there was a stigma, just pull yourself together was her first words. She saw that was not right but I could have easily walked away a that time. Best wishes to all who have suffered or know someone who has3 points

Dear Members, The Club invites you to join the 2025 Lakes and Dales Tour tour which is a 2-day event covering 250 miles of the best roads in the Lakes and Dales 😎 Following last year’s successful TLWN2 tour The Club has decided to organise another club road trip for 2025! We invite you to join the 2025 Lakes and Dales Tour which is primarily a two-day event being Monday 23rd / Tuesday 24th June (less tourist traffic than a weekend!!) but will lap over into the Sunday prior to Wednesday after for Club members travelling to/from the start/finish points, especially for those travelling long distances. Monday will be ‘’The Lakes Day’’ 120 miles (4.5 hours) driving around the beautiful Lake District National Park. Tuesday will be ‘’The Dales Day’’ 130 miles (4.5 hours) driving around the wonderful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Both days start (9am) and finish in Kendal with the drives out, including various stops for lunch and fuel etc, returning to the start point (Travelodge Kendal Town Centre). The Club will provide route guidance for this event as well as promotional clothing and stickers. Monday evening will be a social stay over in Kendal. If you are interested and want to participate in this event you must book your own accommodation. We advise booking Monday night accommodation (also consider adding Sunday before & Tuesday after) at Travelodge Kendal Town Centre, Riverside Place, LA9 7FW which is a good option with underground parking. However, you are free to book your own accommodation wherever you wish. Please let @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator know you want to participate so we can keep a tab of numbers, there is no cost for members to participate in this event, just your accommodation, food and fuel Further information/route’s etc will be published here in due course. Please note this is a non-competitive event! Thanks WSCC Events Team.
