Christmas meetup confirmed for Brothers in Arms PE14 7LT for 14th December 13.00hrs. Please book your place on here. We have space for 25 but may be able to increase at a push. Sorned and stored, off on a work trip til Xmas

Thank you, I am blessed with some fantastic scenery up here, if not the skills to fully capture them. Mot expires on Saturday, Tax expires at end of month and of course the weather is turning cold and the roads will be covered in salt. I had always taken my Mx5's off the road during winter for obvious reasons 😆 and was always going to do the same with the Westy. Can't complain, I've put some miles on it and had some fantastic drives. I had a couple of moments today on damp roads and glad I was going relatively slow, so I think it's best to quit whilst I'm ahead.

Are you worried about it losing any shape whilst it's off, or have you braced it in any way? My FW bonnet splayed out a bit when it was off to do the radiator ducting. I got myself worked up a bit when I refitted mine and it wouldn't close properly, but then I remembered reading about how it was a common issue, especially at shows. It was fine after a couple of days and I'm sure the more experienced owners have all been through it 😁

It’s that time of year. Thought I’d keep the nose cone safe while Iam tinkering… just need a solution for the bonnet up on the ceiling now
