  1. My lovely wife, Ali, returned from home with a surprise for me. Not long after she mentioned how mucky the roads were as she drove her car home. I suspect I maybe about to get some fresh air…

  3. Probably my last run of the year in the Westy. Took it up Zig-Zag hill near Shaftesbury (a Dorset version of an alpine pass!), then to Guy Ritchie’s airfield for a nice slice of cake.

  4. I suggest you reciprocate by giving her a surprise gift of your own. Try a power tool, Workmate, or something that just happens to fit on the Westfield. My wife amusingly once gave me eight rolls of wallpaper for my birthday along with a pasting table. Her birthday was two weeks later and I gave her a box of 12 wine bottles, all empty, with a note that read “Tested for quality control purposes - passed”.

  6. Todays - after wash picture Later changed headlights bulbs from Philips +130% etc to Aliexpress LEDs , Was during a beer so test drive tommorow evening, but looking good so far, seems a good improvement. (thanks for advice @Flying Carrot Steve ! (in fact His advice was original Auxito bulbs, but I'v tried the Alixepress version - will see. External quality looks really good , as is the fitting) From parking perspective I really can see improvement, might be partly due to more blueish colour, but in long distance swithch now I see the bulbs are working, that was not alway the case with halogen H4) )

  8. Meet at Whitworth Terrace Cafe, Darley Dale, DE4 2EQ 10am. Remember to register your number plate in the cafe to avoid car parking charges. After a good tyre kick over coffee and bacon butties we will wiz off into the wilderness, finishing at The Rambler Inn, Edale, Hope Valley S33 7ZA for lunch. I reckon we can even fit in the Winnat's Pass on the way, goody goody. Weather is currently forecast good so who will make it out this weekend? Keep it fair, members only on the run please.

  14. First drive after fitting the side screens and they really make quite a difference in the cold weather, I was noticeably warmer inside. Had a 3 figure blast on the motorway too and they performed well, just a shame they've arrived just before Sorn.

  16. I’ve recently sold my pre lot SE and looking to upgrade to a wide body, I’ve seen a 2000 SEIW with an 1800 zetec , any idea on what the value of one is ? Exact spec is unknown, a rough guide value would be appreciated.

  17. Value will depend on spec and condition. I'd guess anywhere between £7K-10K. If it's coming with the weather gear pictured, that's a bonus.
