  9. I’m omnipresent. My sole objective in life amongst the membership is to create uncertainty and fear without lifting a finger. Having said that, be afraid - be very afraid. You’ll never know until I strike. It might be a change of avatar or changing your mailing address to something evil, but my capacity for gratification through mischief is legendary and wide ranging.

  10. There are some great photo's there, brilliant, thank you for posting them and your lovely comments. We met at the car museum for breakfast, table for 16. Hey what a great club we are in, Stu turned up with spare gearbox mounts in his pocket for us and advice on how easy a job it is to change them, what a great guy thank you. Parked at our very favourite car museum Dan arrived after the photo's and you can't leave his great car out, so here we go, the full line up of 10 cars Glynn had to wiz off to sunny Spain, leaving the 9 car convoy to trap on through the Peak District. You can really tell the tourists have gone, every road was empty apart from the odd tractor, well 2 actually. The clouds lifted enough so we could enjoy the views, although the sunshine was not coming out to play today. It was quite freezing so Glen decided we needed to go to the warm pub at Hulme End rather than the cafe, thankfully everyone followed me despite this change. Parked at The Manifold Inn Here we are preparing for the humongous Sunday lunches Here is one of the offending items, delicious, we are definitely coming back here. Service was excellent too. I had the 3 Andy's with me and they have a reputation of being hungry, especially for cake, I didn't want to disappoint so off we went to Wetton Tea Rooms, where they bake all their own cakes. Again you could tell the tourists have gone, the car park was empty. I love winter for our Westfield outings, the cars run well and the roads are empty, we operate unhindered. Parked at Wetton Summer Fruits Cake, there's jam and then there's jam, this is Wetton jammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Our Chairman chose well Andy Westwood had the Bakewell Cake, not once but twice, it was that good Unbelievably here is the seconds Tiramisu cake for the other Andy Leaving the other Andy lurking in the background also eating cake but avoiding my lens Fantastic day out, Sue, just remind Glen, is it Saga or Tui for the cruise? good laughs as well as good advice floating across the table. Thanks for coming everyone, see you next time, don't SORN or you will miss all the fun!

  12. If you want to preserve the date of the MOT and get the full year’s worth, then yes I think you can only book up to one month in advance, otherwise you’ll set a new due date and eat into the year period. But as @Flying Carrot Steve says, you can book an MOT at any time and it will be valid for a year

  16. There has been a steady decline in numbers of competitors in the WSCC Speed Series over the years and the SSOT has been considering what to do to change things to make it once more an attractive series to be in. in 2024 we opened the Championship up to all 7' type cars to try and increase the competition, but there has not been a great take up off this. So to endeavour to bring more people in we are re-launching the series under the name 7's Speed Series. To find out more please read the enclosed PDF explaining the changes. We hope you will get on board with this and that 2025 can be a more successful year. 7s SS draft Sept 24.docx.pdf

  18. I'd just say seats. Go with the most minimal description that's not actually a lie 🙄

  19. they’re not car seats, they’re gaming chairs. use the app and collect at home service and you don’t need to worry about counter staff 😏

  20. You need to be careful about what you send parcel force that's car related. From their website: Car Parts, panels, doors, bumpers and bonnets are prohibited. Other car parts are acceptable as long as packaging guidelines are followed. You need to be very careful with your descriptions of parcel contents and even then you can get a jobsworth behind the counter. Not surprising really when the two sentences contradict each other somewhat.

  21. Wrap well first with bubble wrap, then pallet wrap and send with parcel force. It’ll cost you around £10 in wrapping materials and £15 postage. Here’s an example of some fibreglass bodywork I sent last year.

  22. Try https://clicktrans.com/transport/united-kingdom/ I have used this service in Poland for gearbox, engine, windsurfing board with sails etc... even whole not finished kitcar on wheels with engine, gearbox, panels etc - from Belgium (to Poland) , dont remember what else. Always fair price and there is a real person, not company with call center, on the other side of transaction.

  25. Give up a few days or so, they normally start high then drop down. Have you input an accurate size and weight, that often helps reduce the cost.

  26. Try getting a quotation from Shiply. I’ve used them to collect and deliver wheels and other large awkward items.
