  3. I’ve got a day ticket so not going to rush home!! Bringing next door neighbour with me who is dreaming of buying a Westfield. He has a very major operation next week so keen to give him a good time. He doesn’t want to be defined by his illness so probably won’t chat about it. Meeting us lot will hopefully be the best therapy and will take his mind off things.

  6. I’m omnipresent. My sole objective in life amongst the membership is to create uncertainty and fear without lifting a finger. Having said that, be afraid - be very afraid. You’ll never know until I strike. It might be a change of avatar or changing your mailing address to something evil, but my capacity for gratification through mischief is legendary and wide ranging.

  9. Before I retired that would not have been a problem as I looked after two locations over that way. My replacement lives over that way so I cannot help sadly others might

  12. I decided against it as the weather forecast wasn't great, and sure enough it did rain. I've taken Westy in previous years and parked up in the vicinity, but not this time. It's worth calling in if you have a spare hour (that's legitimately all the time it takes) but I wouldn't drive a long way for it. The was a mix of classics, yanks and modern classics. Interestingly they do seem to get new cars every year so it's not just always the same cars.

  13. Weather is still looking good for the meet, so this is definitely on. We will go a quick blat after breakfast, quick lunch stop and then get you on your way as it looks like rain is coming up from the south west later. I haven’t decided on where for the pit stop yet so will watch what the weather report does this evening and then decide. looking forward to seeing you all x

  17. A few pics from my run today, just a short one 200mls. Up and over The Rest and be Thankful to Colintraive then a ferry over to Isle of Bute and after lunch a ferry back to Wemyss Bay and home via Ayrshire. 😊 Could really do with Rob to make the pictures pop... Arran in the background Rothesay Bay and the hills on the mainland I'd driven through to get there

  19. This has to be a new record for me... What could be in this A4-sized small parcel box? ... another smaller box... so what's inside that? Oh of course, it's the 6mm igus bush I ordered for my throttle cable! Dimensions ~35x15x5mm, meaning you could fit at least 1000 of them in this box I guess Igus don't get many orders this small next day delivery though!

  21. In my first hand experience of four Maxis two of which were owned by my employer at the time, one by a colleague, and one by a relative, there is nothing 'lovely' about a Maxi at any stage of its miserably unreliable life. Good concept, lousy build quality and design details - particularly the gearbox and selector mechanism.
