I have done it! so it must be easy. I have ordered my paper copies of the Westfield World magazine, they will continue to be delivered through my letterbox. I clicked on 'STORE' which is on the blue line at the top of the page. There is a box with the magazine on, I clicked it, put it in my shopping cart and, like the good wife that I am😉, I used Glen's Paypal account to pay for it (£18 for 3 copies per year). I will look forward to continue receiving real paper through the post. Remember if you don't do this then you will only get a digital version. Good luck and if you are struggling, post on here and someone much more techno than me will come along and help you.5 points

Everyone seems to "take the ahem" out of my brilliant storage facility. But just look at how useful it's been over 3 days at the Newark show this weekend. 1, camping box, 2, cake table, 3, pizza table, 4, 2 man seat. Other possible uses, Beer table, Hiding bodies, Keeping a small dog in, The list is endless. Where would we be without it?3 points

To be fair Robin everyone that passes you thinks you’ve been to Curry’s as Mr C says! I have to admit though it is very versatile, and I’m sure you benefit in the event of a tail wind! Head winds, not so much!😂3 points

There isnt and there hasnt been. This topic came up recently whilst at Pembrey with Paul Parker. However, an MSUK official there let slip that they have recently acquired a sprint track license, but nobody knows why yet.2 points

Home now from 2 nights at Newark. The drive down on Friday was grey, but dry. I arrived just in time to help put the marquee up then my tent. BBQ fired up for burgers and beers opened when everything was sorted. Saturday started grey, bacon sarnies all round and soon the sun was out and definitely the best day no matter what the weather apps were saying. Around 35 cars came, with Westfield Avenue gently bending to the right. (Got to keep it straighter for Malvern). Saturday night, the A Team went for pizza, but the fine weather didn't stay. Lightening in the distance, and rain around midnight. The 3 Westfields there were a bit damp the next morning, we should have put them in the marquee, but didn't! Sunday morning was misty and drizzly and it remained like that all day. Not many cars on Sunday, about 7 in total. Breakdown was completed for 1, just in time for the rain to start properly. My journey home was wet, with rain all the way up the A1 and the wipers and indicators not working. Another good weekend with the WSCC, and big thanks to all who came and to @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinatorfor organising. Video of Westfield Avenue on Saturday, can you see your car?2 points

I’ve just joined the club this week having put a deposit down on my first Westfield from Toybox. It’s the yellow and black one in their latest video 😍 Really looking forward to owning and enjoying it and reading the threads on this forum has been great. As a new owner what’s the most useful thing to know or buy? Any obscure tools that I should get? I’m in Yarm if anyone is local?1 point

Yes, you order the magazine separately to your membership Everyone has to do it if they still want a paper magazine delivered through the door.1 point

I've got to say that until Sunday at Harewood I was unaware that the championship structure had changed in 2024 and none westfields were allowed to compete & score. based on what i can see of the calendar I can see alot of alignment with the events we are doing already and I think both Matt and I will be joining in with the 7 Speed Series next season.1 point

Hi Nick, On Sunday in conversation with someone promoting the new 7 Series championship, they pointed out that we would have been eligible to compete in the championship this year (Roadgoing Caterham 1800cc) so thought i'd pop in the forum and have a look. There is a lot of cross over with events we are already doing, but I do have 1 question, looking at the 2024 regulations under 1.5.1 it states that it's the best 10 rounds to count, but looking at the posted scores it appears you are actually doing best 8. Has something changed or am I miss reading this years regulations.1 point

@Rob Hunter - Club Secretary what a bunch of great photo ! ! ! Love that one : Beside aesthetic of that picture , cant miss the water there... Here in Poland people keep asking me : "what about rain ???" Few years with Westfields and I have never drive in rain. But now I know what I need to answer : "abandon Your car and go under some roof " Really this and rest of the pictures are great! And taken with sacrifice because You was also under that rain.1 point

I needed it. It's what every style icon is wearing. Windscreen wipers and indicators would have been good too.1 point

Welcome @John Whyte, I can hand on heart say joining the WSCC after I got my 1st Westie (the Flying Carrot) was probably the best thing I've done in my 11+ years of kit car ownership. You will have fun here! 👍 plus you will learn a lot, for example just now I learned where Yarm is, a place I'd never even heard of before you joined, so thanks for the education 😂1 point

Well as my first official event, I really couldn't have picked a better one! It was plain to see the effort and organisation that had went into putting it together and I'm sure the envy of all the other clubs there. Many thanks to @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator and everyone else who helped put on such a fantastic display and I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you all. I have enjoyed a very warm welcome here since joining the club in June and it was lovely today to finally put some faces to the names. Thank you to @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative @Rob Hunter - Club Secretary and @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman For extending the warm welcome once again in person. We had a fantastic day and will hopefully make it back down again soon. You can thank us for bringing the good weather down with us later.1 point

What an awesome day out at Newark kit car show. I must say an absolute big thankyou to everyone one that went and took part in making it happen and to all of the kit companies showing off there new cars. I really enjoyed speaking and meeting Chris for the first time today with his YouTube yellow tiger Avon build. With my car being featured in the videos too. Seeing tigers new R10 car aswell was absolutely stunning in every single way. I’m very sorry I missed Julie and Glen I will see you guys on the next drive hopefully. But yes a big thanks from them for the cakes.1 point

Massive thank you to @Marcus Barlow - Show and Events Co-ordinator for yet another very well organised event. The club stand looked brilliant. It can only look good when it is filled with our member's cars, so thank you to everyone that came and filled Westfield Avenue, especially @Craigieboy and co who travelled all those miles down from Scotland x Thank you to the club committee for providing the cake, days are always better with cake involved. This lady, Clare, is our expert cake cutter What a great job she did Her husband @AndrewBClarke is good at eating it, 2 slices, noted! A rare photo of our car with doors and a roof on,it was tiddling it down when we set off this morning 11, who doesn't love an 11 Inside the hall we admired the Westfield Chesil Ltd stand. A great display put on but we will have to hang in there for a while longer, 2025 sounds like it's going to be a good year to own a Westfield. These are the same vehicle, TIPO, one has the bodywork on and one has it removed for you to inspect what's beneath. Can be used on road or track, imagine one of those in the Peak District, one can dream. Parked with the Derby/Notts red devils x Thanks everyone for the best Newark show yet. Great to see you all, come and see us again at the car museum next Sunday, weather permitting x1 point

I bought it! Drove home 1hr 45min in the dark on the motorway last night which was interesting! Love the car, it does have a few very small niggles which I’m looking forward to addressing once I’ve finished re-concreting my garage. Will post some pics soon, in the meantime this is a bad photo of me stopping for fuel!1 point

Well it's come around to three years since I built my Westfield, time flies. So as well as a birthday clean and rub down this afternoon it was MOT time this morning and I was delighted to get my first pass certificate. I need to give high praise to Ed and the team at Franks Garage in Kingswood, Gloucestershire, very knowledgeable on Westfields, Caterhams and the like and knew their way around the car no problem. Turned out the car did have a problem which they spotted and fixed before a fuss-free MOT and I was on my way. Had a few good recommendations of where to go but really glad to have found these guys. It might just be me, but having built the car myself I have been slightly dreading the first MOT milestone, felt like handing my homework in at school many, many years ago 😅1 point

New carbon fibre dash in. Easy job? Just swap the wires onto the new switches and off you go. NO. 2 wires on 6 terminals, wiper switch working the wrong way (switch on, wipers off. Switch off, wipers on) Side lights on, no headlights. Sidelights off, headlights on. Got everything working by trial and error, put the dash in and the loom was under the hoop. Everything off and loom moved above hoop and plugged back in. Everything working so dash fitted. Start the car, and it won't start. A few choice words, well quite a few really, and I've come in for a coffee. The dash looks good, but not much different to the old one. Everything was working fine so why did I change it? Because that's what we do.1 point

Its a great car and well built on the whole. I ended up getting it from Toybox in Feb 2020.... it had only done 800 miles at that point, I've done another 10,000 since then despite the lockdowns so she's being enjoyed!1 point
