  2. Welcome! I'd just spotted your post on Facebook, looks a very nice car. I'm based in Swadlincote and you've loads of us locally. We meet up most weekends for breakfast (places like Curborough, Donington etc), do a few track days a year and as @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO says often get ourselves up the Peaks. We have a pub meet in Shardlow on the first Thursday of the month you're welcome to come along to as well. Feel free to come along, we post the meets on here, on the "Westfield Sports Car Club Social" Facebook page and we have a local chat group your welcome to join too

  3. welcome @Tim-s @Rob Hunter - Club Secretary is your local meet organiser and puts on lots of great events all year round in your area and often 'drags his rabble' into the Peaks for runs too.

  4. Watch out for the next edition of CKC! Jack Wood, owner of CKC was at Toybox today doing a magazine feature. Huge thanks to all the members who came along, hopefully you will get your faces and/or cars in the mag πŸ‘ I'll do more of a write up in Westfield World, but Jack seemed to enjoy his test drive of one of Andrews cars (a stunning grey FW) and took loads of photographs of the cars and the new Toybox premises. A couple of photos I took of the car Jack tested, its a real stunner! I volunteered to take Jack for a spin in my MegaS2000 as he hadnt been in a Honda powered car..... Those that know me will appreciate that I had to give it the full berries! I think his face tells a story πŸ˜‚ A fun couple of hours, thanks to Andrew, Dale, Roscoe and Natalie for your hospitality πŸ‘

  5. The weather Gods were kind last night and we managed another successful track evening at Donington. Car ran faultlessly again, it does seem use oil when I’m driving hard on track. First time I’ve run the car on track since fitting my radiator ducting (massive thanks to @Matt_S) and Laminova. Water temps were a rock steady 90 deg and the highest oil temp I saw all evening was 105 deg. Over winter I am going to sort a better bracket setup for the Laminova.

Any club member can come along to help set up πŸ™ should only take a couple of hours πŸ‘ Please use the main entrance for entry to the showground, clearly sign posted for kit cars. Club gazebo will be erected with tea urn and hot and cold drinks provided FOC with Charity donations appreciated πŸ‘ Club pitch will have electric. Club pitch will have racing SIM. Club pitch will have BBQ. Club pitch is not as big as Malvern, there will be a smaller version of Westfield Avenue 😁 Club pitch should be easily located by the WSCC blow up arch. Club camping is also on our G3 pitch this will be behind cars/Westfield Avenue. There will be no official rota, we can decide on the day who does what.. main tasks are parking cars on Westfield Avenue, meet and greet, tea/coffee. Site plan below (not to scale!! WSCC plot is bigger than shown allowing for camping etc)

  10. Westfield SEIW 1.8 Mazda SDV This car has been my ongoing project for the last 7 years it has had no expense spared and many hours of development and testing. It is road legal track car with MOT until May 2025. All the original Mazda components have been refreshed where they were used. The car goes well on the road as it isn't too stiffly sprung but is also great on the track. I have used it on the road, for track days and some sprinting at knockhill. It is very clean and a real head turner. The car is on an age related plate (not a Q plate) It runs very nicely and is very reliable. It makes 158Bhp at the wheels and weights about 640kg (wet weight) so it is no slouch. Its a great drive and at home on the road and the track. I bought the kit in 2016 and registered it in July 2017. I have loads of other bits and pieces from its development over the years and there's probably details that I have missed. I have recently sorned the car but am happy to put it back on the road for a test drive if there are serious buyers. I'm selling as I'm looking to buy something entirely track focused.
