  1. Took the opportunity to fit a honeycomb grille yesterday while doing a coolant flush - quite like the cleaner look.

  2. Amazingly the weather gods kept the rain away and we had some cars out to play! Brilliant to meet first timers Gareth (in his Cayman as the his Duratec Westfield is off the road) and Mark in his red Zetec Westfield. Tim and James had also brought their Westfields. Iain and Rachel had just driven back from Telford after collecting a new daily for Iain, a stunning RS7 rep. After only ever seeing Garry's Cossie in the garage, it was brilliant to see it on the road! Gareth's Cayman GT4 is also a stunner A fab evening chatting with loads of us looking forward to Newark and the trackday at Curborough on the 20th September! Great to see everyone, hope you all got home safe 👍

  5. @Matt_S the mesh holes are 12mm x 32mm and 6mm thick. I do have enough left from the sheet for another grille so will DM you.

  12. Talk of the cossie has prompted me to remember a conversation I had maybe 8 or 9 years ago now with one of the ladies on the counter at the Long Eaton Natwest branch (can't remember her name now .. natalie or nicola maybe?) anyway she was telling me that her dad has/had a cossie powered westfield .. there can't be many of those around so wondered if it rang any bells with you? @Rob Hunter - Club Secretary

  13. Yeah, I'm often amazed at the reaction it gets.

  14. @Matt_S I've checked and the eBay link no longer works and the order details aren't very detailed - I'll let you know the mesh dimensions.

  15. @SteveB21 Have you got a link to the grill material you bought?

  16. If you’re looking for advise it’s free, if your looking for parts it’s cheaper, I reckon I save £50 every couple of months so the £35 is money we’ll spent every 2 months.

  18. @westfinlay it looks like you just signed up for a trial membership, which only lasts 60 days and has expired. To properly participate in the forum you need to be a full member which costs £35 per year. If you own a Westfield then being a member might reduce your insurance, but in any case the wealth of knowledge here is fantastic and well worth it. Hope that's helpful

  19. Here I am broken down. First time and in my 9th year. Feel pump gave out a death wail in a village and then 5 minutes I was here. No go ! Alright though, I had a seat nearby stung by a nettle though 🤔 Calvary arrived an hour later...ledge! He was quite hungover though sweating buckets lol Stuffed back in here and said I'm not talking to you 😜 I think we will make up soon.

  20. Yes if they are made for a certain make and model they will have protection on places like where it may go through the bulkhead or other areas where it may chafe or need cable tying to secure it. I had them on mine when I had to replace the clutch cable on an old Cosworth Fisher Fury
