they’re all like that. the only way to get a decent panel gap between the bonnet and scuttle is the fit the tub off centre. If you’re in any way OCD don’t measure the widths of the rear arches or the difference in height for the rear lights 😀3 points

I find it difficult to take the town of Newark seriously after someone pointed out to me that Newark is an anagram of W⚓️.2 points

Interesting video - I had no idea these secret toll roads existed, but I can’t say I’m surprised.1 point

We will be there too! There is a possibility of my Westfield making a re-appearance too...........well, it's a definite maybe!1 point

Sadly whoever built it did it “by the book” and took the build manual as Gospel 🤣 I ended up building mine “by eye” which meant throwing away the rule book but I ended up with balanced looking wheel arch alignment. But getting all of the shut lines looking good just seemed impossible (replace the “u” with an “i” in shut lines to be more accurate) As others have inferred it is something that you tend to ignore once you start to enjoy the car for what it was designed to do (make you grin) 😁1 point

Yes I think they’d be happy to work on any seven type kits, very knowledgeable guys. They were rebuilding an 80s Lotus F1 car when I was there!1 point

I maintain I'm keeping the factory fitted style sealed beam headlights as they are "proper". ...Until I drive it in the dark and vow to repalce them. The cycle continues after daybreak.1 point

After my first attempt at sealing my new sump failed, I ordered a new gasket. As I had a few days wait anticipated for the new one, I decided to pull the sump to be ready. Gasket came away in one piece so I thought why not have a go at resealing it. I did this a couple of days ago. 100 odd miles later and no sign of a leak. Rather than try and cancel the new gasket i thought I’d just keep it as a spare..this has arrived just now. Invoice in box says gasket, my eyes tell me otherwise. Anyone know what I’ve received?1 point

Standard fuel gauge readings: Full = full Full with a twitching needle = 3/4 full 3/4 full = just over 1/2 full 1/2 full = 1/3 full 1/3 full with twitching needle = 1/4 full 1/4 full = look for fuel 1/4 full with a twitching needle = look for fuel NOW Under 1/4 full = what are you playing at?!? Avoid roundabouts and right turns to prevent fuel starvation 1/8 full = you’re out of fuel and have time to post in the “Sharing what you’ve just done. Not questions. No comments required.” thread1 point

TADTS - They all do that, sir! Fuel gauge is there simply for amusement purposes. Always use and reset the trip odometer after refuelling. I don’t let mine go past 110 miles before refuelling.1 point
