  2. Hi Howard ...... Ian has just had to install a new driveshaft into the TVR this week after it failed in testing at Donington, way too much power LOL. He still jointly owns the Blue Beastie along with Neil Clark - it is for sale and was originally built for Tim Coventry to compete in the British Hillclimb Championship with a John Eales prepared V8. His TVR Cerbera was previously owned by Martin Short and competed in Brit GT and then a few other championships' with a change of livery, Ian has restored it back to original spec. It's a very bright almost luminous green. 😁

  3. @Alex Gaskin is there as part of the INRacing team with a number of cars they either own and race themselves, or look after for customers. Alex has been putting some hours in this last week or two to prep some of these, with engines out etc. Cars to look out for are: Race 5 Stirling Moss/Whitmore Trophy #26 Lotus 15 #85 Lister Bristol #133 Cooper Bristol Race 7 and 18 HGPCA #10 Cooper T53 #21 Cooper Bristol #33 Cooper Bristol #36 Cooper Bristol #43 Cooper T43 #117 Cooper T53 Certainly cheer for #21 as that is Alex's boss Ian Nuthall and #10 Will Nuthall, both very quick drivers. Also look out for Ian Stinton #155 in a TVR Cerbera in Races 9 and 17 Masters Endurance. Ian is an ex-Westfielder who used to own a brutal blue V8 similar to the Flymo. Might still do.

  5. Saw one last week at Farnborough, but without being taped off. Couldn't believe the sharp edges on the winds where they meet the bonnet grille. A few people picked up on it.

  6. The local car place, Gasoline Juice, is holding a Caterham and/or Lotus 7 meet this Saturday in Weedon, NN7 4PS. It's a funky little place, based in an old military arms depot. I'll be there in my not 7 from about 9.30/10, should anyone else find themselves at a loose end.

  7. Ebay Long story, I ordered a red one because I thought Green would clash with the red car and trim, but it was taking forever to arrive and then I realised I'd ordered the wrong colour, so I cancelled it and got a refund. I then ordered a red one, but again taking forever to arrive and then the green one arrived! So I cancelled the red one and just fitted the green one as I had the dash out for 2 weeks now. Couple of days after I refitted the dash the bl**** red one turns up too! So I've got a spare one too...

  10. Hi All, so some timings for Sunday. The East team are meeting earlier and going around the houses and aiming to get to the Chalet for 9:15 I am planning to leave at 8:00 and follow this route which passes Newlands Corner at 8:05, Ockley (Village Hall) 8:30, Billingshurst (Aldi) 8:45 then Cowfold (Chalet) 9:05 Just in time to get in the queue first 😉 I think Ian and David might be meeting at Box Hill ( Rykas) on route to the Ockley meeting point. Feel free to do whatever suits you though....... Let me know if you want to meet at any of those points so we don't leave anyone behind

  11. Today's wee job fitting a QR. Got a Defender hub to fit it to and I've borrowed a 300mm wheel to try for size. Thanks to @dvd8n for his help making my decision 👍

  14. They don't earn much at all, just enough to feed their families. The strange thing is they will receive better subsidies for re wilding their fields in the coming years, so where's our food going to come from?

  16. I'm hoping the weather isn't all that bad, the metoffice website is slightly less pessimistic than the BBC, but only slightly!

  22. Swapped the outer reflector ring to a stop and tail light, though only using the brake light for a good definition. Maybe a bit OTT in optimal conditions, but if it's raining and my hood is on I lose the high level brake light.
