Had a little blat this evening in lieu of the meeting which I thought was tonight but is actually next week 🤪. This was by the entrance to Cricket St Thomas.

Diffuser fitted. Would've liked to get away without fixings along the top, but the corners needed brought in a bit.

Made some temporary half doors out of Antinox sheet, tent poles and duct tape. The delivery date for my side screens has slipped again, now September hopefully and the weather's not looking good for this Sundays run. Had all the bits and hasn't cost me a thing, so if it all fails and gets binned I'm not out of pocket.

Great stuff. Thinking of starting in Newport/Chepstow and heading up either through tintern or towards Usk, then Abergavenny and over to some roads I know off the heads of the valleys. There are some crackers over towards the Rhondda valley too. Maybe we could meet en route somewhere closer to you. I'm thinking mid September if that works for everyone? I'm happy for suggestions though. @Jason B where are you based? Feel free to tag anyone you think might be up for it, the more the merrier! Renewed all 6 cars and a trailer today. Thinking about it, I must be closing in on my 50th renewal by now... I wonder if I get a badge.

The car is in her new temporary home! Somewhere purpose built for her, where we can actually work on her! Got a week in September cleared to go up and sort her out with an MOT!

New garage flooring sorted for the winter and colour matched too. Just need to trim the front edges and fix down etc

Great run today to Llyn Brenig, on the EVO triangle. Farmer John and Mary, in their XE Westie, not running too well, misfire and down on power. Needs some more tlc. Ray and Sue in the V8 Toybox Westie, nice, sounds great. Steve in his Porsche Boxter, metallic grey, convertible, good looking car. Jeff in his MX5. He sold his V8 Westie to Toybox, have a look at the Friday walk-a-round, still there. And me, trying to keep up with the others. Not too hard really, V8's rule. Yes, a mix of cars. But when a leading club member, for over 20 years, asks if he can come in his new road car? Of course he can.

Enjoyed the day and the company , great to meet up with old and new faces made all the better with glorious cheshire countryside plus wall to wall sunshine tea & cake . Thanks for organising !
