Finished the main job at about 12, all panels fixed in place. Had to cut four panels down for the last part so it worked well at the end wall, looks good. Just the finishing fascia boards and guttering to do now 👍 Apologies to anyone with OCD for the uneven window spacing, it was just how it fell in terms of the internal wall and the width of the panels. We tried to keep them over each garage, works ok from inside.3 points

They look brilliant! No idea how you do stuff like that these days, I used a Pentax ME Super back in the days of 'proper' photography, and what you took was what you got, in my case usually rubbish2 points

If the weather holds out then I sure will be tagging along.2 points

Front fascia boards fitted. Rear boards done too, just the guttering to do once the scaffolding is removed. We’ve decided to finish the sides in the same way as the front but need to order another four boards for that and I’ll have to pick them up from Bridgewater next week. Done for the day. Need to give the garage a good sweep out, then perhaps I will whitewash the walls at some point this weekend. Floor paint should be available later in the week so perhaps that’s a job for next weekend! I’ll make a start on building my shelving tomorrow too. Next project, when we’ve recovered is to paint the garage doors!2 points

You can put me down as a maybe, I do like a ice cream by the sea, and a doughnut, and chips, I think I might be coming back a little heavier than I went, good job I’m not bothered about weight saving. do you have a route planned yet?2 points

A wee run out today with my daughter to Braemar thru Glenshee and the old military road. What an amazing place, never been on the route before never mind in a Westie. 175 miles covered and on the last bit we got stuck in traffic, nose to tail and melting hot. The engine started running hot the dumped it's coolant. Lucky my wife was only a 40min drive away and saved the day. Awesome drive and not dampened by the engine boiling the coolant!2 points

We in the humble fens like our carrots and crunching them too. We are not rabbits but a little eccentric who have a lot of fun. Not many beautiful places around here to take idyllic pics so we are going to do something different and a bit bonkers. Follow one bags mighty travels from the humble start at malvern. Follow Baggy on its travels with a unique twist on promoting Westfield. We start off in Canada with our John and Lynn.1 point

It's more mid bonnet area. With the car square on the lift and the rear blocks under the rear corners of the lower floor, it sits quite nice and stable and no weight on any fibreglass. (The cars not in the right place in this photo, but the bar is, for reference). The S2000 Engine has a lower sump section at the front. The bar slides behind this, before the gearbox1 point

Thanks, you have no idea how many times I scoured eBay and never seen that particular one. Says a lot about their search function which is definitely not as good as it used to be years ago.1 point

This is the model I have. I bought mine used though off a mechanic who was upgrading from working off his drive to a unit with a 2 post lift. I can use it in the garage for long term winter jobs. But when the weathers nice I wheel it outside. It's heavy, but I've the technique mastered now to get it in and out. The GTI spent a whole winter on the ramp lifted off the ground in the garage, no problem https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196471639651?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ksPGuVReRuC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=wIHRVSA9RE2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY1 point

Excellent, but I can see an issue with it. Its now too good to use 🤣1 point

I normally paint mine every year, but the Mx5 rolled off the ramps and damaged the frame on one. Been on borrowed time for years, just prefer to spend my money on stuff I actually want.1 point

I've been eyeing a £28 bottle of wine that someone bought me for my birthday a few weeks ago. Uncorked and breathing as I write........1 point

That's good experience. I ordered my parts on the 8th of June. A headrest, rear body strap and a badge. I had the badge within a week, but no sign of the other parts, no response to emails or calls. I have just spoken to Nick there, who said I 'may' receive my parts next week. UPDATE 24th September - I have have finally got the headrest after 2 months, the boot strap is still missing 3.5 months later. I must have called 10 times, and have got a bit fed up with people promising to call me back, then not. If I ran my business like this I would be bankrupt. I think it's really sad, on top of all the issues I had with getting my kit just before the old company went under. I know I'm a lot better off than those who paid for cars and parts and got nothing.1 point

Jez, it's going to be a pleasure to work on your car in there now. 👏1 point

Well they definitely have a side that faces upwards which is smoother, the underside is a little rougher. What I was surprised about was the ‘corrugations’ didn’t seem to match if they weren’t running in the same direction. The spacing seemed slightly different so they didn’t sit properly over one another. Switching the board around solved the issue completely.1 point

Yes it is Dave. I go down and help him out as there are things he cannot do but as you say he is one of life's great guy's. What he has had thrown at him over the years would have destroyed most but he just keeps getting back up and laughing. Dave likes people popping in that is for sure his kettle is always on. I didn't realise you lived in Yate but today I walked past another house with a red and black Westfield so there appears more about these days.1 point

One thing I've found in WSCC is because it's national and international I learn new words. I've Googled dunter but can only find meanings which cannot be right, like it's a Scottish word for porpoise, or an Irish coastal elf 😂1 point

Hopefully we will be there1 point

Cracking day for it. We do Glenshee up to Grantown on Spey every year, amazing roads, especially if you get it quiet. If fact we've just booked hotels to do our NC250 and will head North that way. Hope you get the overheating fixed 😬1 point
