  1. Just innocently helping Glen clean the car after last Sunday’s run out and our neighbour fetched her granddaughter over for a driving lesson. Was happy to oblige ❤️

  2. 1972 MGB Roadster very good condition. Tax & MOT exempt, however, this car is MOT'ed every year, last MOT no advisories. Oselli 1950cc 4 speed with Overdrive. Everything works as it should. It is lovely to drive. New canvas/vinyl soft top. Leather seats / LED lights / Alloy wheels. £12950.00. Possible exchange for westield or something interesting- If you have any questions do not hesitate to call 07824165502 or drop me a line

  3. Good progress today. We got a bit delayed by confusion over whether the boards were ‘handed’ or not. At one stage, to be more efficient, we decided to cut the corners off three boards at once and just turn one of them round. Big mistake! It turns out that they do need to be run in the same direction otherwise the corrugations (is that a word?) don’t quite match up. This cost us a fair bit of time phaffing around trying to work out what was going wrong and having to turn heavy boards around whilst up on the roof. Anyway, I reckon we are 80% done now. Just one run with a clear panel in it, and then two solid runs to finish. We will need to cut the last two runs down to fit the width but have a good angle grinder so that shouldn’t take long and at least they will be lighter to lift up. It is heavy going in this heat with no shade up there to speak of. We are trying to do things diligently, putting mastic across the joints and ensuring the clear panels are fixed correctly. Hopefully it won’t leak! Pleased with how it looks though and we should be all done tomorrow including sorting the edge boards and guttering. Winston is keen to be back in his new home! Might have to be temporary for a while until the walls and floor are done. First clear panel done Much better lighting with the two panels Let me in already! Done for the day

  4. thanks Ian,......wow, high spec, high tech, not something for a 67 year old then. jools thanks,....it's red and grey actually, it's the colors Chris Smith and his team used in the 90's & 20's she's 24 years old now. so you could call it a classic. The yellow is from sun bleached and there's a lovely story behind that. So, it looks like the buyer of these today your saying are mid thirty's, beard, gym bunny and barbie doll type girlfriends....Lol (just what iv'e seen on only fans).

  9. I was having to do a bit of research and find a supplier for the pads due to the calipers etc that were fitted to the car. Eventually I came across Cambridge Motorsport https://cambridgemotorsport.com/ and they were a great help, in terms of advice, service and speed of delivery. In the end they suggested the Ferodo FRP3108H. I like the look of the front spoiler, not really sure what, if any function it serves. Probably makes the front of a Westfield have even more aerodynamic drag! I'm definitely not making a video!!! 😁

  11. Good to see it’s still within the club! I’m running the 1.6 ecoboost with peak boost at 1.55bar on the standard engine. I do have future plans to go down the hybrid turbo route but would love to feel the step in power

  13. This is a 1968 Lotus Elan Plus2 which I have decided the time to sell is now. The price I would like is £2750 or offer As with all these things it was bought when full of good intentions but as you can see this is a project so be under no illusions. I bought this with my Father in Law and the intention was to build it together with a new Spyder Chassis and a 2.0ltr Zetec etc. Sadly he died before we could make a start and here it has sat since 2016. I paid a lot for this but I am realistic that it has to go as I cannot bring myself to start it. The chassis has some rot at the front which I am told is reparable, however when there is a replacement Chassis on EBay for £500 why would you? As my plan was to use a Spyder Chassis that was of no importance to me. There is no engine and box with the car. It is fitted with a very rare Tinted wind screen and a typically 80's sunroof which a webasto would replace or could be refilled. There are lots of trim parts with it but some parts will be missing but as spares for these are very good that is not an issue. It does roll okay. Obviously when completed it will be tax and MOT free and the log book is in my name and it is on SORN. I can send more photographs if required As I said it has to go so no reasonable offer will be refused. I reiterate it is a project

  14. This car was built by a friend of mine who is a thalidomide victim and after building he suffered recurring cancer. He is now in remission but sadly due to various operations he is never going to be able to drive it. The add gives more deatils but since a no expense build it has done just 500 miles. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202408012394263?sort=relevance&advertising-location=at_cars&make=Westfield&page=1&postcode=bs377ut&fromsra

  15. Yes it is Dave. I go down and help him out as there are things he cannot do but as you say he is one of life's great guy's. What he has had thrown at him over the years would have destroyed most but he just keeps getting back up and laughing. Dave likes people popping in that is for sure his kettle is always on. I didn't realise you lived in Yate but today I walked past another house with a red and black Westfield so there appears more about these days.

  16. I notice you are located in Yate, same as me. I'm guessing then you are talking about our good friend Dave aka Flipper? I'm sad to hear he is not 100% Last time I saw him we bumped into each other in Ryman the stationery shop in Yate shopping centre. Great bloke, one of the most cheerful guys I know especially considering the challenges he's had to face. I must pop to his workshop and say hello.

  22. well, many thanks for all your fabulous points raised, i guess some like fish, some like meat, some like pink and some like brown. however i do find myself interested in Kingsters comment of the interiors....what do most people tend to choose these days then ?? and yes she is a great touring car, hence the locations we have been to. agree, the Covid bubble has defo burst all the people on the free money have now got to pay it back i guess. so we'll keep plugging away for that one customer. thanks again 'guys'.

  27. Even the old owners couldn’t get the steering columns for the SDV right so there’s no hope for WF Chesil 😀 I did contact them after the open day offering my knowledge and support for owners of the Mazda based kits the same as I did for the old company but sadly never heard anything back.
