Meet at 10am at The Great British Car Journey car museum, Ambergate, DE56 2HE for breakfast before heading out on a run around the Peak District. The Lotus 7 and Caterhams are meeting at 8am so the car park may look very interesting when we get there. Who is joining us?2 points

For those that will also be coming on the run out after breakfast, here is a rough guide to the route for your sat navs. Car museum, head for the Malt Shovel, Wirksworth, DE4 4GP Over the back roads and left onto the Via Gellia road to turn right at The Holly Bush Inn, Grangemill, DE4 4HU. Into Bakewell and take LEFT before the roundabout onto the B5055, Monyash road. Head for the Packhorse Inn, Crowdecote, SK17 0DB Hulme End, SK17 0EX To finish at The Bentley Brook Inn, DE6 1LF for lunch. It sounds like a right pub crawl but we will only be stopping at the last pub! If you want to go fast, set off first, if you want to enjoy the views, follow me😍2 points

I've always kept all my cars clean and shiny, and the Westfield is no different. It's always put away clean, so it's in pristine condition for when it next comes out of the garage. Some may laugh, but I find it therapeutic. There's a process to go through, and it allows me to switch off whilst I'm doing that. Regarding the Westfield specifically, I had the same question as the OP to start with about 'how'! I tend to carefully wash it in sections so as not to soak anything too much with the hose etc. Current favourite products are a mix of Gyeon and Gtechniq.2 points

Went to a car meet at The Old Waggon and Horses on the main A451 Stourbridge to Kidderminster Road this morning. It's hosted by "The New Unnamed Classic and Cherished Car Group", and they run an event here on the last Sunday of every month, plus a few Monday evening gatherings I believe. I'd known about this for a while, but hadn't been until today. I had no idea it was as popular as it is though! At least 250-300 cars and a real mix of cars from all ages. Really good to while away a few hours. We will definitely be going again! Thoroughly recommend to anyone who might be in the area. Just a small number of the cars on show:1 point

I quite like the ritual of washing my Westy - two bucket method, autoglym shampoo then two coats of meguiars paste wax, the autoglym vinyl product on all the seats and trim and whatever horrible chemical is closest for the wheels. I tend to find that as long as the wax holds, little blemishes and bug splatter just wife off with a damp cloth. To be honest, it's a lot of faff but I quite enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble for a couple of hours!1 point

Mark, I think it was the same last year, you just wait until the finals are published. Dave1 point

Wow, that is a great looking car. It’s just like my current car, but with all of the upgrades that I am planning to do over the coming years already fitted! The right colour too…. A couple of quick questions: 1. What is the mileage and origin of the engine? 2. What is the build history of the car, home built, factory? Many thanks1 point

I went from four point to six point and personally find it much easier to buckle up. I used to find myself having to nearly dislocate my shoulder to get them on, so just being able to fit the waist belts and shoulder straps separately is quite easy.1 point

Yeah I do like it, but it's expensive. I see that P&S do something similar and cheaper. Need all my cash for upgrades...1 point

I am worried about them. I ordered some parts 7 weeks ago for my X1 build that I cannot get elsewhere. I have had one out of three delivered. Apart from that no contact despite calling them twice. Parts from other companies are delivered quickly with proper communication and follow up. This is basic service process and should be relatively easy to resolve.0 points
