Good evening John and co, I booked my tickets a few days after reading about it in the Spring edition of Westfield World (couldn't resist the magazine 'plug'). As far as I know I'm the only one from Devon and Somerset area going and have booked accommodation (Wincham Hall Hotel - no weddings on thank goodness) about 30 minutes from the circuit. I've been wanting to go to the Gold Cup for a while - a shame the club location has been moved and yes, no longer free, but at £21 I think it still represents good value. There are a few members on this thread I recognise, so looking forward to seeing you again and meeting others I have yet to meet! Fingers crossed the weather and traffic gods are kind. I'm driving up on the Friday through South Wales, Herefordshire and Cheshire avoiding the M5/M6. It's a 6.5 hour drive for me! This article just popped up on my Google suggestions, and I thought of this post! The GT3RS is Mark Riccionis, who is of Evo, Top Gear etc etc fame. I’ve just renewed for another year with Howden. I spoke to Paul who was brilliant and knew about all the mods I’d made instantly without the need to explain. I’ve even managed to include 5 track days for a premium of £112.00 - can’t be bad!

The sun brought the cars out yesterday where we managed 14 cars in total, 12 Westfields, 1 Sylva Striker and a MX5. Breakfast was eaten outside in the sunshine. After feeding ourselves, 10 of us headed out towards Selby, we started as 10 but lost @Ross Seight somewhere on the way. The rest of us managed to stay together through some back roads to arrive at The Motorist. Big thanks to everyone who came out, including @Kenner in his Striker and @Jill sutcliffe and Darren on their first run with us. See you all at the next one.

It is cosequence of driver lets say ekh.. not "ideal " skills - snapped rear arches some time ago touching track limits marked with tyre- cones. First wanted to fix that but.. also like that look and it is so much easier access to suspension settings, brakes maitenance, loading on trailer , using tyre blankets etc. So until rules allow for that I decided to leave as it is.
