I find that trying to schedule the delivery of new bits, when the Boss is at work makes for a peaceful marriage.

How would I go about setting up a South Wales local group? I was AO for the area about 10 years ago before I sold my first car, and now I’m back in ownership would be good to get a local area running (I think there are a few South Wales owners). Plus we are not far from Bristol and Bath our Hertfordshire So joint events in the summer could be an option.. Happy to be the AO to get it going - but what’s the process for getting started?

What does S2000+S2000 + 2 X Sport 250 equal? Let's ask someone good with numbers A cracking Euro road trip! @Si.Dalziel @Jim cunliffe& @Tim.Coles are joining me for this years pilgramage to the Alps. We're departing on the 27th June and spending 4 nights in Austria before heading over to new territory - The Dolmomites for 3 nights. We were 'blessed' with our first obstacle shortly after booking the train in January from Düsseldorf to Innsbruck and return, to be advised due to work on the lines, they can no longer transport us from Düsseldorf and we can now travel from Hamburg instead! Just great! We've now got a 328 mile blat from Rotterdam to Hamburg in less than 12 hours, which means it will need to be Autobahn- I just hope @Si.Dalziel & @Jim cunliffe behave at this point and don't try a rematch of which is the fastest - S2000 or Sport 250! They both won 'prizes' for their last attempt in Wales! We'll provide trip updates on the Westfield FB group and here too (as and when time allows).

Don’t talk to me about mileage, Car taxed and ready from March 1st, what with the weather, family and work we manage less than 150miles till June 1st, then with Malvern,TLWN and holiday to Cornwall we’ve manage 1600 miles to July 14th ( 6wks) let’s see what we can get in before Sorn at the end of October 😜, catch you all Thursday

Unfortunately I have not been able to organise any runs around the Cotswolds recently as my car has been off the road for some time! In previous years we have visited the area quite a few times and hopefully we can again sometime soon!

It would be great to see you at the meeting, but I appreciate that it is a long drive at 150+ miles round trip. However, I wouldn't mention that in the presence of @aeg though, as Andy and Becky are long distance royalty after completing the Long Road North Trip recently! We do meet at the Falcon Hotel, so an overnight stay is an option if your circumstances allow? Otherwise, the only day time option planned at the moment will be our track day at Curborough Sprint Course on 20th September. You are welcome to join us during the day as a spectator, or you could book on the track day if you fancy it!

I'm definitely up for this. I have a long list of roads for blats too. Baffle Haus is lovely and 10 minutes up the road from me, but it's so busy on weekends and you quite often can't park in there. Anyway, happy to assist in any organising of meets etc 👍👍

Mat As the the AO over the bridge I've collected a few S Wales folk so happy to co-ordinate with them and arrange some joint drives/meets. Regards Chris

Hi Mat, looking forward to seeing your new Westfield. I was looking at the member map at the national show and most south wales members seem to be east of Cardiff, so roads around Usk - Chepstow can be good for an evening drive out. Certainly get more lotus cars when we head that way. I thought for a while that we could mix club lotus runs with WSCC runs. Some of the lotus guys are ex Westfield owners. We do quite a few runs and meets with Morgan owners club as well. They are a good group. I’m definitely up for doing more runs out with the Westfield.

At the Powderham Historic Vehicle Gathering today, between rain showers!

Day 12 - Mon 8th July 2024 - Hulll to Home Might even get home dry! We're not the only ones with stickers earned Soon off the boat and into Hull morning chaos. 'Eskimo' @Jim cunliffe not managed to shake the BAC Mono off his tail yet.............. @Tim.Coles needed to head south to work in the Afternoon. @Si.Dalziel, @Jim cunliffe and I headed towards the Cardingsheds. Another drink for the cars and the team was splitting up further, change of plans. My vintage shorts- lots of history! Car emptied and cleaned off. Put back in the toybox.

At work till 6pm ☹️
