A mate has 2 tickets for the England v Spain final on Sunday. He paid £360 each, including flights but he didn't realise when he bought them months ago that it was going to be the same day as his wedding 🤦🤦 If you're interested, he is looking for someone to take his place? It's at Guildford Registry Office, at 3pm. The bride's name is Sarah, she's 5'7" & quite attractive. Come on England! 🏴 ⚽🍺️6 points

In this case I was the postie, picking up my silencer from a place called AtomFabs in Chard, Somerset. It had cracked welds on the bracket between pipe and silencer, and also where the pipe meets the silencer. It had also been repaired once previously. They quoted me £50, and ended up only charging me £30 and it was done very quickly between other jobs. Nice chaps to deal with too, recommended. Will refit it tonight ahead of Powderham tomorrow4 points

Nice read, wish I could get the wife to enjoy being in the car more! Maybe I should take her out with the side doors on or even the roof to acclimatise her into a trip away3 points

Looks fantastic, you can be proud of that. 🙌 You could always cover your costs by using up the extra fabric on other people's cars...😉2 points

Not really. Allows to use very cheap slicks. Set of 4 blankets is cheaper than set of premium tyres. On colder day saves tyres and brakes (for not warming tyres before start). Will see, so far used only few times - need some additional effort - car up, blankets on, timing to get to start immediately etc. But - car is predictable from start . EDIT : that cheap tyre blankets I have bought, seems quite good quality for me. https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/354845064.html?gatewayAdapt=glo2pol approx 4-5 times cheaper than branded blankets.2 points

Visited ProDev Engineering, Carmarthen to see the ex-OMEX Richard Wragg to see the finishing touches to my engine build and bring it home for installation. I can wholeheartedly recommend Richard as an engine builder who can build to his spec or adapt to a one off. As a note he supplies both Burton Power and MST with their Zetec and Duratec engines! From a 68K ex mondeo 2.0 Zetec oily lump to a rebuilt forged 8000 rpm 230 bhp zinger... just waiting on BGH uprated gearbox and its all systems go for install!2 points

Lidl do loads of good tool/car/garage related stuff. I've bought many items from them over the years, all have been very good quality.1 point

It is cosequence of driver lets say ekh.. not "ideal " skills - snapped rear arches some time ago touching track limits marked with tyre- cones. First wanted to fix that but.. also like that look and it is so much easier access to suspension settings, brakes maitenance, loading on trailer , using tyre blankets etc. So until rules allow for that I decided to leave as it is.1 point

Comes with all the English weather gear, and shows soft seat covers fitted (bamboo & toweling type) a must for extra comfort.1 point

Wired up the DRL's. Used the same controller as I've used on a few Mx5 installs and it's never let me down, though required a couple of resistors to work properly. It was fine with a incandescent bulb, but wouldn't recognise the leds. Hardest part was threading the cable up through the sleeve to the headlamps, but I was determined to do it.1 point

My sticker has been on my roll bar since joining last year. Sure others will tell you they’ve had theirs a lot longer than that!1 point

Couldn't agree more. Twice I called today and was promised a call back on each occasion, needless to say I'm still waiting. Oh and waiting on call backs from last month and replies to two emails. I not asking difficult questions and I'm looking to spend money. Just a pity they don't take notice of the forum, I'd imagine we all want them to do well.0 points

I'm sorry to say that I've been having the same issues with them too, though as being new here I wasn't keen on voicing my frustration publicly, but maybe that's the best thing. I had to cancel an order last month for a set of clear lenses and 2 stickers. I was paying well over the odds, but thought I was doing the right thing by supporting them as I wish them every success and want them to succeed. I waited a full month, without success and eventually had to sadly cancel the order. I got my bits elsewhere for the price of the Westfield postage. I've now ordered side screens from them and hopefully things will be better, however yesterday an incomplete set of fittings arrived out of the blue for them, which has prompted another phone call to them, with no resolution just a promise to call me back... I understand that they are busy and appear to be under staffed, I just hope things get better soon. It's not great that I'm now looking elsewhere for items that I would happily buy from them if the support was there, again I want to be part of a successful Westfield family.0 points
