  1. Side wind deflectors from Westfield £160 or some 5mm polycarbonate sheet from work - free to a good home. Stainless liftoff hinges left & right hand - Amazon £12. I knocked out the hinge pin, machined them to size to suit the windscreen then drilled & fitted a 3mm grub screw to secure. Tried and tested today, much satisfaction in the process of making and the end result

  4. Managed to go to track before holiday to test Electric Power Steering in my Westfield Aerorace . Uppercase in E P S for purpose Its really SOMETHING. Yes, its adds approc 8 kg , but takes away approx 50-80% of fatique (not only hands fatigue) after hot day on winding track . And not taking away as I was affraid of, but _adding_ front wheel feeling- not tensioned hands ale more prone to read imputs from front wheels. Next job it to make the same for road Westfield, might be not so easy because of hanging pedals instead of floor mounted, but need to try. Oh yes , Snapshot : It was Trackday differnt from others : Half day : timeattack formula - few 10min sessions and best lap from all counts. Next - sth like "hillclimb" with autocross together , here called SuperOS , sum of all three drives plus penalties (touching cones etc) counts : Really happy with Westfield handling, and results Now just I started to feel understeer on corner entry, even I softened max front ARB and front dumpers. That for future to manage.

  6. 2015 Honda S2000 for sale Factory built in 2015. I'm the second owner and owned it for the past 7ish years Upgrades are: Willwood front calipers with 285 vented discs. Rears calipers changed to Golf. Protech Shocks all round. Front and back antiroll bars (Soft Bars, not the ones that knock your teeth out) Wide track Gen 3. 205 x 15 Toyo tyres, 2 new ones just fitted. LSD 3.92 Omex ECU, unlocked and upgraded by Omex. Quick release steering wheel with Mono steering wheel. Heater temperature control, so you can turn the water off flowing through the heater. Half hood. Private reg W7YOB to be removed or sale agreed Standard Stuff: S2000 engine and gearbox. Heater. Heated windscreen. Digi dash. Side screens, I should have some doors somewhere in the garage. V8 Bonnet. Sports seats. New battery. Needs MOT-ing. Cat pipe, I have the none cat pipe but it needs welding up. 199bhp at the rear wheels. This is not a show car, its used and could do with some fettling. Engine has slight tick, front wishbones need painting, Have replacement head lights, just need fitting. Don't have many pics, will get some and add later More info added The car was originally purchased in kit form, the owner had a change of heart and sent it all back to Westfield factory where it was built so a factory built car. The engine was supplied by the owner and is a 2005 which had 56k on it. I know this as traced the supplier back to where he bought it from and they verified it. The car has been faultless for the 7ish years I have owned if for but for a failure of the Omex ECU which is a known fault with Omex 630 ecu. You could search the WSCC for info on this. The ECU was sent back to Omex and the fault fixed and unlocked for remapping which I had done and now has 199bhp at the wheels. The mapping was done by Wayne Schofield who was the world tuner for Porsch racing. He did a great map and totally transformed the car from the Westfield standards map that they installed. I know this as said the ECU was locked but not now. Anyway the ticking noise started and to date I have not been able to find where it's coming from. The car drives fine and I have done a compression test and all is fine so I think it's valve related. It only ticks when the engine is warmed up. The car is currently sorned and the MOT has run out but I can do that for you should you want it done. I can only suggest if your interested come and look at the car with no obligation and have a see for yourself. This is a lot of car for not a lot of money. If it doesn't sell will get it to showroom condition and ask a lot more for it. No tyre kickers and any test driver needs fully comp insurance. VIDEO's I have taken some vides and these are in my own Google photo area, you can access them with this link. https://photos.app.goo.gl/gtbzTeCZoSohbfbo9 hopefully the link works but let me know if you can't access them.

  7. Hi all I wanted to introduce an old familiar face some of you knew. As some will know I made the decision to sell my Yellow zetec in the hope of something quicker and more fitting to my ideal Westfield. This all started on the long way north starting line, Julie and Glenn approached me with a car they knew for sale, Over the weekend they spoke more about it and the idea grew. The following week my old car was collected by its new owner, and I rang Julies contact, Barry Wilson. Now the car in question was built by the late Steve Pitt (Bugman), a 2018 Sport 250. Barry had bought it following Steve’s sad passing, and then sat on it for the past few years. I read Steve’s amazing build diary and soon realised what an intricate person he was, everything was done to perfection. Admittedly there were a few electrical choices that weren't great but Barry has been slowly going through the car removing them. After a few visits to see the car and work out what needed doing to bring it back to its former glory, a deal was made and huge thanks to Barry who got it running for me. I had it collected and delivered this week and started straight away preparing it for its first MOT in years. The headlights weren’t working neither were the indicators, this was down to some wiring add ons Steve did years back. I checked the manual and sorted both issues, bolt checked and then booked an MOT. Drove to MOT station and had a few misfires on the way, also lost boost (turns out the pipe wasn’t tight enough) MOT passed with no issues so I headed for home… that’s where the misfire started again, this time however it got worse to where it sounds like an old Impreza. Managed to limp home, and started testing and checking plugs/coils. 1 plug seemed to be an issue so I ordered a set and collected today, popped them in along with some injector cleaner and hit the key Hey presto she’s alive and sounding great. A few jobs later, mainly checking brakes and suspension, a little clean and it was time for its first drive! Sooo nervous but very excited too. It went perfectly, there is little too much pre load on the rear suspension as it seems to bang the spring down over bumps but I’ll see if I can wind it back a bit. but overall really pleased, it has the power and looks I’ve wanted and has the potential for my own touches along the way. So I’d like to say a huge thanks to Julie and Glen for putting me in touch with Barry. And thanks to the rabble of mates who have helped over the last few days via messages. Ben/Rob/Gavin and Tim. i look forward to lots of adventures with it!

  10. Keep an eye out on eBay for a used RaceBox Pro. They retail for about £250 to 300 ish but I got a mint condition used one for £165. They don't come up for sale used very often but they are excellent. The last few used ones I've seen sell on eBay have been about £180. If on a budget they also do the RaceBox Mini. Here's a link.... https://www.racebox.pro/store/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwnK60BhA9EiwAmpHZw68DuDbxRpvsbMbpQVvehLv4NUYIPsgkm5knYIDbb0VMvd2pTvAwVRoCEjYQAvD_BwE

  11. Amazingly, I managed to dodge the rain and landed at Curborough about 930. Once Lee had landed we headed for the cafe. Glynn arrived shortly after, he hadn't been quite so lucky dodging the showers however 😂 After our previous meet at Curborough, I'd been contacted by a budding young photographer on Instagram. Corey and his dad Rob are locals and both huge petrolheads, spending their free time at car meets. They'd taken a great interest in our cars so with permission from his dad, I'd taken a spare skidlid with me to take Corey for a spin down the local lanes. He absolutely loved it, hopefully we have a future Westfield owner, takes a decent photo too (more to come!). Heading down to the paddock, there was the usual mix of cars A stunning (and far too clean!) Clio running Jenvey throttle bodies. 1290cc A Series powered GTM out for its first run of the year Lovely formula ford It wouldn't be a Sprint without some Westfields! About to head home, we bumped into Geoff (member and Curborough regular) who had sensibly left the Westfield at home due to rain around Birmingham and come along in his MGF (far more waterproof!😂). Thankfully I got home in time to watch the F1.... what a race!! Great to see everyone, let's hope we get a proper summer soon!

  14. Please see enclosed Spreadsheet with the results up to Round 15 Curborough. To score I have kept competitors in the class they were in, rather than try and combine WSCC Competitors scores in different classes as this seemed the fairest way of scoring. So please check the scores in classes at each event and if anyone would like any changes, then message with which event and the reasoning behind why a change should be made. Overall Score shown below :- WSCC Results 2024.xlsx

  17. It’s a 1600 crossflow 711M on twin 40s , 4 speed Type E box and English axle. Bought off of Facebook , the plan is to go through it and tidy it up then try to move to something newer with a Zetec.

  18. Lovely looking car that looks it might vpbd as built. That is a keep and enjoy vehicle after any servicing/gentle recommissioning it might need. What engine does it have please? Does it have a Ford Crossflow with twin sidedraft twin choke Webers or a MG Midget A Series or a Ford Pinto perhaps? Any more pics including under bonnet? Where did you find it? I’d love to find an early Westfield. Cheers Mike
