  1. If you go on Amazon and search for "hat straps" you'll find loads! Alternatively, you can also buy toupee tape for that stylish string free look 😂

  2. Big thanks to Troy. Working remotely, he managed to sort out some running issues with my Sport 2000 Duratec. He emailed me comprehensive written instructions on how to tune and balance my ITB’s. Logging on via Team Viewer he made some small adjustments to the Omex ecu. Now running perfectly. Thanks.

  3. Visited ProDev Engineering, Carmarthen to see the ex-OMEX Richard Wragg to see the finishing touches to my engine build and bring it home for installation. I can wholeheartedly recommend Richard as an engine builder who can build to his spec or adapt to a one off. As a note he supplies both Burton Power and MST with their Zetec and Duratec engines! From a 68K ex mondeo 2.0 Zetec oily lump to a rebuilt forged 8000 rpm 230 bhp zinger... just waiting on BGH uprated gearbox and its all systems go for install!

  4. Please see enclosed Spreadsheet with the results up to Round 15 Curborough. To score I have kept competitors in the class they were in, rather than try and combine WSCC Competitors scores in different classes as this seemed the fairest way of scoring. So please check the scores in classes at each event and if anyone would like any changes, then message with which event and the reasoning behind why a change should be made. 5. You won’t be disappointed Steve. Although slightly terrifying standing next to your car on the rollers when Troy does a power run 😀

  7. Someone I'd met a couple of years ago at the Caffeine and Machine Lightweight Day had just posted on the Warwickshire WSCC Facebook page about his new purchase and that he was doing a track evening at Donington. As I have to drive by the circuit to get to the Clock, I left a little earlier to go and say hi. Marks new car, a 1989 narrow body with a 200bhp cammed Zetec on Weber ITB's with straight cut Type 9 and quaiffe LSD. Nice to hear him raving about the chassis dynamics compared to the Quantum Xtreme he owned the last time we met. Loads of nice cars on track, from Ferraris to the normal hot hatches.... even spotted a donor car 😂 After a good chat I headed off to the pub. I had a nervous wait..... Thankfully, it was just everyone running late 😂 Flanked by Ben's MNR and Lee's tango zetec Hedley struggling to get out of his car.... worryingly he told me he was suffering with a bit of stiffness.... maybe he was just pleased to see me!? 😂 Gavs ecoboost (Steve riding shotgun until his new car is MOT'd) with its new Pumaspeed hybrid turbo.... Wheelspin prevented a definitive power output on its recent rolling road session, but likely in the 300bhp bracket. Not bad for a 1.6! We were joined by Martyn, Garry, Paul, Dom and Malc who came in their tintops. Plenty to chat about with our recent visits to the Speed Series rounds, Dom's alternator bracket woes, Hedley's forthcoming suspension upgrades, Martyn working on getting his car back on the road, Malc's IVA application, the recent TLWN trip and of course the guys in the Alps! A few of us are on track at Donington on the 22nd July so we are buzzing about that too! I had a brilliant drive home too, empty B roads and friendly Mercedes A45 AMG to play with 😇 Great to see everyone, see you on the next meet 👍

  8. No I just used a Scholl concepts purple pad. Removed all the swirls no problem and finished off with a turtle wax spray wax, I'm really happy with the results. It's not perfect and tbh I never chase perfection when detailing, too dangerous I just look to make a good improvement. A mate had the paint on his new GR86 ruined by a detailer chasing perfection, had to get painted.

  11. If anyone's interested that Meguiars worked a treat, got rid of the minor swirls and not too aggressive. Helps its only half a car.

  12. Bit of cord sewed on. Loose bead just to stop the sprung bobble (from an old rucksack) falling off. Just to give you a laugh, when you feel the cap getting loose, you just open your mouth to tighten your cap again!! Technical issue is that the bead can hit you in the face so tuck it in!! As you can see from the faded nature of my cap, this system works as I haven’t lost it 🤪
