Thank you @AndrewBClarke for the drive out, also for allowing me to be a passenger due to my battery deciding to give up and not take a charge🤦♂️. Due to the sound track of Andrew’s Westfield I did forget to take photos apart from this one. After a drive around, we made a planned stop at the Hambleton bakery for a nice coffee and cake, but unlike @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative I forgot to take a photo of them before we tucked into them. but here’s the proof we had cake. I think I need to take some pointers form you Julie. great day had, hopefully next time I will be in my Westfield as well 👍.5 points

We arrived at Scotch Corner at 4 o'clock to find only 2 Westfields there. A drink and a sandwich later, 2 more came. At 7, we decided to head for home only to see all the others going round in circles trying to find a petrol station. I think too much cake had been consumed on the way up. Have a good run to Berwick-upon-Tweed tomorrow.2 points

I’ve only ever had JK’s in mine and find them really comfortable. On my euro trip last year on the return journey, I drove from Aix-en Provence to Alencon which was nearly 1000km in one day. We spent 10hrs in the seat that day (apart from fuel stops) and can say they were never an issue 👌🏼1 point

I was able to improve this by taking some spacers out from the front of the seat base. Makes the back more vertical of course but that was a change that suited me anyway.1 point

Late shout but I'll be going along, myself and Greg are meeting at the Gulf / Mini Garage on the fosse way at 9:30 (https://w3w.co/form.snooping.protester) If anyone is driving from the south1 point

Great write ups, I’ve really enjoyed following the trip. And well done to you all for keeping the cars going and surviving the weather!1 point

Yep I'd feel the same. I saved 5 bees and a moth this week. Fed the struggling bees sugar water, amazing how quickly they recover after supping some up! Those dragonflies are beautiful things and have been around since before the dinosaurs. Don't see them as often as we did when I was a kid.1 point

Day 10- (last day) so last night we agreed the best way for the “fast group” and “get home group” to all get to Calais at the same time on the same train was for the slower group to set off 1.5 hrs earlier… (lots of maths calculations after beer 😂) my alarm went off at 5. Rich T had a his brilliant jet kettle on the go already. (This was a great addition to the trip!) off the three of us went at 6. Not raining and we didn’t think forecast either. how wrong we were…. 😂 about 80 miles in we were looking for cover to scrabble to get the roofs on. Except for poor old Rich B who was like a drowned rat. We fuelled up, roofed up and carried on in the awful rain around the twisty D roads for about 150 miles. cars hanging in there, my rear drive shaft/CV making an awful noise. We found our last Boulongerie in a little town and made a coffee under the shop shelter in the street, much to the amusement of the locals who must have thought we were mad! I was quite glad to eventually hit the motorway for the last 130 miles. Again, we got a distant voice of Kenton over the radio. They were quickly gaining on us. They had set off at 7.30. along the motorway the fast group came steaming past, but they had yet to fill up. So we were back in front and now the pace picked up! The race was on and our agreed 55 mph slow group got faster the nearer to home we got 😂 As we approached Calais, the sun came out and the roads were again dry, they over took us again and like magic we all arrived at the euro tunnel together and pleased we all made it. we managed to jump on an earlier train arriving back in Uk for about 4pm. From there we all went out separate ways home with big smiles and great memories of another successful and great tour thanks to all and especially the organisers and route planners for all the hard work they put in. We all covered about 2400-2500 miles in total. 6 out of 7 completed the trip. Unfortunately one was recovered. We had a few break downs, but some really clever fixes and get support from each other. A fantastic group which I was proud to be part of once again. Now we all have some tinkering to do while the cars have a well deserved little rest. Thansk for listening, sorry about the delay in updates. I would have liked to have included much more detail each day but the evenings flew by and it’s hard to keep up! until the next one…. 👋🏼1 point

that time should be approximate but hard to confirm exact, we might arrive in a few separate groups. hopefully this thread will have updates on the day and updates will be on the whatsapp group1 point

What is it exactly? I can't decide if it's a brake bias device, a steering wheel quick release or some kind of kinky S&M weapon 😂1 point
