  1. Not exactly what the postie brought today as they arrived 5 mins before leaving for Malvern on the 31st May! Sadly, the car is still not ready to refit any of the suspension!

  2. Positively squeaking with excitement in our house. Loving how the trip hat matches my lanyard. Looking forward to seeing the Yorkshire crew there, thank you Robin.

  3. 1st run out for me this year and a what great run with Paul and the Lancs boys , Vertually empty roads made for some good driving up through "The Trough" . I think there were 8 cars in the convoy mostly yellow with some Red Green & Blue with the odd dash of Cows brown . Great fun Thanks for organising

  7. What is it exactly? I can't decide if it's a brake bias device, a steering wheel quick release or some kind of kinky S&M weapon 😂

  8. I had to pick this up from the DHL depot as they claim 2 attempts to delivery had found no body at home, no paper work left to show delivery attempts.🤨

  12. This is on at the weekend and I was wondering if anyone was going ? My car has only been back on the road this week so probably a bit late now but I wondered if anyone would be interested in putting showing their car there? I've been to the event since it started and there have been a few clubs there including GT 40 replicas there but I've never found out what clubs they are with.

  13. Rare as hens teeth secondhand. I watched for months, gave up and bit the bullet, ordered direct from Caged Laser. I think I've only ever seen 1 up for sale in about 2years.

  16. Day 8- we decided to continue on in two groups. Rich was still taking it easy hoping his car would make it home, the other Rich joined him for a more direct route. I and the others continued the planned twisty longer route . Which let’s just say was twisty, hard going on the cars and very gravelly! This led to my exhaust bracket coming loose, the alternator brackets snapping and then some strange intermittent clonking noise from the rear wheel. After making a cable tie bodge repair the alternator was sorted. I decided just to continue as we couldn’t find a cause for the clonking noise… We heard on the what’s app group Rich had another fuel pump failure but they managed to source one just before a shop closed! Lucky or what… We met up with them by chance along the route. He was back up and running and so I continued in the slow group just to get to the destination hopefully with no more issues!! We all arrived safely. Booked in to a Formula 1 at Saint Etienne. Checked the cars over, showered and wondered off into town for an all you can eat Steak buffet…

The forum can guide you & answer every question you have m, around getting the right car for you, & a big bonus with Martyn the Warwick AO there to support you. I keep promising Martyn that I’ll join him at the Warwick meet soon & hope to see you in your Westy soon. All the best from the Black Country - Phil R

  18. Now we just need servants. (It was rumoured when I was ClubChair that I had minions to do my bidding, but that wasn’t true.)

  24. Some 5mm spacers for me. My 13” rims were just catching on the suspension arm so these give it a bit of space without pushing the tyre out too far.

  27. PTFE is slippery and there nothing else to stop the blank turning and unscrewing I would use Loctite. But each to their own!
