  1. Evening, All sadly the car we originally wanted was unavailable by the time we got to it, however Another car got delivered yesterday. Had our first drive tonight and the wife loved it and we cruised for awhile around the Malvern area. The prior owners looked after her well and she came with every piece of paperwork from the moment the first owner printed off the westield home page to every receipt or thing ever done. We are the third owners based on the v5c docs and various names across paperwork which is about a 2 inch pile of papers, which I've now sorted chronologically and put into a binder so I can keep adding to it. Needless to say I'm super excited. We named her Judy for obvious reasons Anyhow looking forward to meet up with other owners and we are now wscc members

  2. Well its time to let my Westfield go and stop pretending its the right one for me. A bit of back story, i bought this car back in 2022 after falling in love with the spec and build of it, then last year i started wanting more power and ended up selling this and going to MK Sportscars. Long story but i had a bad experience and my MK rx5 ended up going back for sale with them early this year. Which left me without a car, untill i chased down the buyer of this one and ended up buying it back, i always missed it to be honest as it was my first experience into the Westfield family and ownership life. However for the past few months im right back where i was, wanting more power and after looking into many options ive finally decided im not going to alter this about to fit my needs. Its too nice of a an example so id rather a new owner love it for what it is. Its a fantastically well built car and the spec is superb: 2013 Widebody SEIW Widetrack suspension Lowered floors (which was a must for me) Full carbon Tillet Seats - Which are hands down the comfiest seat ive ever sat in a '7' car, plus ridiculously expensive. 13" Team dynamic 1.2 alloys with Toyo R888's Westfield Big brake kit Alloy front hubs Light weight Battery Coolex Radiator with Spal Fan 2.0 Crate Blacktop Zetec with Jenvey Throttle Bodies - Dyno sheet 178bhp Omex 600 ECU with software Mocul Catch can Later 6" exhaust silencer now fitted. Led Front lights and indicators Windscreen with full wiper and washers 12v Usb socket Go-Race detachable steering wheel boss with 300mm leather wheel. NV carbon front splitter V8 Bonnet Full Soft Bits for Sevens Roof with support bars 2 Speed factory Heater ( Great in the cold Weather) Boot box with Cover A mountain of paperwork 2 x keys Wind Deflectors MOT April 2025 14000 Miles Note the Pictures show doors but i'm afraid ill be keeping these for whatever car i get. All in all a Beautiful car and well known in the club, as i regularly attend club meets in Derbyshire. This will be available for Sale from Tuesday 25th June as i'll be using it on the Long Way North club run next week. Any inquires are welcome via Message but it wont be leaving me until after this date. £14400

  3. Sorry delay in update I was knackered yesterday! so day 2- we had a long days drive, about 350 miles to get down to the border, a delayed start to get a new battery for one of the cars. Lovely hot weather. Mainly D roads other than the last 150k to make up a bit of time. few little clutch bearing issues on one of the cars. (Which resulted in a photo shoot as a passer by wanted us to come and see his chateau!)Other than that great day. We ended up in another Formula 1 hotel so we could have a good sleep and shower etc. the eve was full of beer and burgers, and T bone steaks

  7. So, early start yesterday. Successful tunnel crossing with no hold ups despite rumours of French strikes etc. The train was packed with Le Mans traffic heading down to the 24hr. Lots of caterhams and Porsches. We stopped off for some early breaky near Boloigne and then took a fairly relaxed ride down using mainly D roads and the odd toll. The weather was slightly damp in patches but nothing to be concerned about, noticeably getting hotter the further south we travelled. Another few fuel and baguette stops settled us in nicely, getting back into the routine of jumping in and out quickly over the coming days! After 348 miles, three fill ups, we arrived at our Formula 1 hotel in Tours, France. The other 4 were by this time were only an hour or two away. They had a good relaxed crossing to Dieppe and then 200 odd miles to catch us up. We all met in a bar round the corner (cracking place) Rich found, for pizzas and a few beers in the sun to discuss the days antics. One hopefully “just flat” battery to replace this morning at a shop round the corner and then we should be good to go for another big day down to the border.

  8. It’s that time again (well almost!) I thought I’d post another diary of the SKCC (southern kit car club) trip as the 2022 Alps one went down quite well. (and most likely a video afterwards) Genuinely I cannot wait, counting down the days! We postponed the 2023 trip (due to the organiser @Tony Bee not being able to ride his mountain bike and falling off!) so this is much needed, especially after the last year or terrible British weather we have experienced. Were all off on 12th June. The same Seven sevens (Westfields) reunite for 10 days of mountain twisties in the sun. @Ricky_B Joint Kent AO @barryO @kenton @Mark Bishop @Rich T The rough plan is 3 of us are travelling from UK to France via the euro tunnel and the 4 from the south coast are jumping on the Ferry travelling from UK to Diepe where we will all meet in Tours the first night and then the following day convoy south through France to the mountainous playground on the French/Spanish border. We will spend the week in the Pyrenees and then all do a big loop back up through France and back to the tunnel on the 22nd. For now, it’s car prep time, fit a new set of rubber, change some euros and pack the essentials - oh and explain the finer detail of the “few days away” trip duration to the wife 😅 more to follow…. ☀️ 🏔️ 🍺

  9. Good morning, my wife and I have been browsing for a weekend car for trips across the west midlands and into Wales for some time. She is very much in love with the idea of cruising across the countryside and stopping for short walks and bites to eat. We are living along the A40 outside of Worcester so have excellent access to decent/nice roads and a jumping off point to great places west from us. Now the hard part she has seen a westfield car she is absolutely in love with because she likes the way it looks; hence the title of this post. As far as she is concerned its already purchased without actually seeing it. I would say our purchase will never see a track day and would most likely say we would be classified as day tourers or weekend tourers at the most with B&B stop overs. We are approaching our retirement years and its likely to be seeing only responsible levels of speed. We could be that car on the A40 driving under the posted speed limit from time to time when we are enjoying the drive more than just the thrill. I hope this gives you an idea of the type of drivers we would be. To this end the car she has seen is an SE wide body and whilst I don't want to start a lengthy debate on is live or independent better what I am most interested in is the experience of others doing the type of driving we are thinking of doing what their experience or advice might be on a live suspension. Also the car we are interested in is almost 3 hours away from us so I'd like to ask as many questions about it or be in a serious mindset to buy it before venturing so far and of course what to look out for or how to prepare to go and get it as there is a strong possibility I will have to drive it home. I have read the new buyer post in the FAQs so I'm armed with that information already.

  12. I've never thought about that before! Or the fact that they are small. When I'm sat in it it's all just normal. But when you see one parked next to a normal car it's hilariously small and low and long. And oh so perfect

  15. Honestly guys keep going North to Edinburgh. Just doing NC500 with my daughter. Scenery is spectacular. We stopped at Berwick on Tweed, saw an otter there whilst having tea and a cake .. that’s your fault @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative ! 😂 Look at the empty roads and blue skies we saw on Tuesday this week! Don’t stop at Edinburgh, keep going North! 😁

  19. For Sale: 2002 VX220 Super charged 250 BHP, 58,000 miles - £15,200 I have owned this car for around 10 years and over time upgraded it to a high spec and sorted all the niggles and usual problem areas to make this the best VX220 I could, but with a sad heart it is time for it to go to make space for a new project. Most other VX220 SCs are currently priced between £16k and 17.5k, but I have priced this to sell. In my opinion, this is one of the best, sorted SCs out there with all problem areas resolved, and also one of the cheapest. The car has some novel history too - being featured in EVO Magazine, hard copy to come with the car!! This has been very well looked after and always stored in a garage, with a full comprehensive history of all work and servicing every year. Full Spec: Engine & Cooling etc: Full supercharger conversion carried out by Joe at Max88 Performance, including front mounted charge cooler and Dutch ECU software. Stage 2, 250 BHP New coolant header tank Alloy charge cooler tank Full 2.5” Tullett exhaust system Uprated alloy radiator Uprated engine mounts (both sides and front and rear) New T7 heater Brakes / Wheels / Suspension Newly refurbished rear callipers Mintex 1144 pads all round 4 channel ABS unit TD1.2 Alloys (15/16” split) – just refurbished in anthracite and as new As new Yokohama Advan sport tires – as spec’ed by lotus for the Elise Hella brake vacuum pump booster fitted. Originally fitted due to low vacuum from high lift cams, and left in place after SC conversion. New owner can remove in 10 minutes if required, but I find it gives stronger breaking performance. Fully refurbished suspension including Nitron street series fully adjustable shocks, new bushes, ball joints, bolts and track rod ends. Fully set up and corner weighted by QMECH. Interior Upgraded leather interior including door cards, centre tunnel and gaiters, and door “shoulders”. Black leather with silver stitching. Carbon dash panel Type 116 upgraded switch panel Brand new Supercharger banded car mats As new Lotus motorsport sport seats, with brand new lotus runners (these cost over £2000 alone last year) Uprated windscreen / roof seal to later turbo style to remove water ingress issue Body work Upgraded tow eye post (Type 116 upgrade) and towing eye OEM turbo front splitters OEM turbo spoiler Carbon fibre turbo ears (Eltech Italia) Black diffuser Full set of Ultimate Carbon side skirts – not yet fitted but happy to give away with the car for the new owner OEM softop in great condition complete with storage bag The car comes with 2 sets of keys and a full history file from my ownership. Overall, this car is in great condition and has been lovingly looked after and upgraded over the 10 years I have had it. It is now a well sorted car with all the usual problem areas upgraded or fixed. Happy to take people out for a test drive, or let them drive if they come with proof of fully comp insurance. Appreciate there aren`t many cars out there, so willing to do some travel to make it easier to view. I`ve priced this car very competitively, its one of the best sorted cars out there whilst also being one of the cheapest SCs currently on the market – please don’t come along with silly offers!!

  20. Route planning in progress. Meeting at the Motorist, Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6JE at 2pm, heading off at 2:30. Taking the B1222 towards York, then the A64 for a short while. A1237, ring road, to the A19 to Thirsk. A168 to Northallerton, then A167. It gets tricky here! B1263 to Catterick, but turning off on to some unmarked roads towards Moulton, Middleton Tyas and Scotch Corner. It's about 70 miles and should take 2-2 half hours.

  21. Not today but a few days ago. Whether I'd leave a few shillings worth of vintage Bentley unattended in a public car park or not is something to ponder!
