  1. So, early start yesterday. Successful tunnel crossing with no hold ups despite rumours of French strikes etc. The train was packed with Le Mans traffic heading down to the 24hr. Lots of caterhams and Porsches. We stopped off for some early breaky near Boloigne and then took a fairly relaxed ride down using mainly D roads and the odd toll. The weather was slightly damp in patches but nothing to be concerned about, noticeably getting hotter the further south we travelled. Another few fuel and baguette stops settled us in nicely, getting back into the routine of jumping in and out quickly over the coming days! After 348 miles, three fill ups, we arrived at our Formula 1 hotel in Tours, France. The other 4 were by this time were only an hour or two away. They had a good relaxed crossing to Dieppe and then 200 odd miles to catch us up. We all met in a bar round the corner (cracking place) Rich found, for pizzas and a few beers in the sun to discuss the days antics. One hopefully “just flat” battery to replace this morning at a shop round the corner and then we should be good to go for another big day down to the border.

  3. Having been to malvern and seeing as so many kits are based on mx5 mazdas , this came up locally with only 35000 miles and one owner and i managed to get the price down as well. Started to strip it down and see if you really can sell the parts for more than the car cost, I have the donor car parts required list from four of the manufacturers to see i dont sell any parts I will \need when i decide what to go for.

  4. MOT day, pleased to say it passed without any advisories 😎. Think the tester enjoyed his spin around the block to carry out the brake test!

  6. Same here today, passed no issues. Here's the view from a Westfield at the top of a 4 post ramp in case you've ever wondered what it looks like! 😁

  9. I purchased these last month for £244 but now they're surplus to requirements. Selling them for £215. Collection is from Kirkby in Ashfield, just off junction 27/28 on the M1.

  11. If you don'find anyone who can help for free. I can recommend http://myautotec.co.uk/contact-us/ Theycoded a genuine VAG PDC unit to my daughter's Ibiza after I fitted reversing sensors including enabling the visual display on the centre console etc. Another VAG specialist failed to do it and claimed it couldn't be done. Either you can travel to them or them can call on you when they're in your area, the cover most of the midlands.

  12. Mine was caused by the mudguard oscillating forwards and backwards so much it just made the wing split quite badly. They do help preserve a very expensive silencer though. They create a lot of drag to so they will be coming off for any track days. A longer front wing would be a better idea so it hangs lower at the back acting like a mudguard in itself

  13. Fed up climbing around the car in the garage when trying to work on it. Also fed up starting jobs in the drive only to have to quickly cover the car. Decided to treat her to a carport.
