For Sale: 2002 VX220 Super charged 250 BHP, 58,000 miles - £15,200 I have owned this car for around 10 years and over time upgraded it to a high spec and sorted all the niggles and usual problem areas to make this the best VX220 I could, but with a sad heart it is time for it to go to make space for a new project. Most other VX220 SCs are currently priced between £16k and 17.5k, but I have priced this to sell. In my opinion, this is one of the best, sorted SCs out there with all problem areas resolved, and also one of the cheapest. The car has some novel history too - being featured in EVO Magazine, hard copy to come with the car!! This has been very well looked after and always stored in a garage, with a full comprehensive history of all work and servicing every year. Full Spec: Engine & Cooling etc: Full supercharger conversion carried out by Joe at Max88 Performance, including front mounted charge cooler and Dutch ECU software. Stage 2, 250 BHP New coolant header tank Alloy charge cooler tank Full 2.5” Tullett exhaust system Uprated alloy radiator Uprated engine mounts (both sides and front and rear) New T7 heater Brakes / Wheels / Suspension Newly refurbished rear callipers Mintex 1144 pads all round 4 channel ABS unit TD1.2 Alloys (15/16” split) – just refurbished in anthracite and as new As new Yokohama Advan sport tires – as spec’ed by lotus for the Elise Hella brake vacuum pump booster fitted. Originally fitted due to low vacuum from high lift cams, and left in place after SC conversion. New owner can remove in 10 minutes if required, but I find it gives stronger breaking performance. Fully refurbished suspension including Nitron street series fully adjustable shocks, new bushes, ball joints, bolts and track rod ends. Fully set up and corner weighted by QMECH. Interior Upgraded leather interior including door cards, centre tunnel and gaiters, and door “shoulders”. Black leather with silver stitching. Carbon dash panel Type 116 upgraded switch panel Brand new Supercharger banded car mats As new Lotus motorsport sport seats, with brand new lotus runners (these cost over £2000 alone last year) Uprated windscreen / roof seal to later turbo style to remove water ingress issue Body work Upgraded tow eye post (Type 116 upgrade) and towing eye OEM turbo front splitters OEM turbo spoiler Carbon fibre turbo ears (Eltech Italia) Black diffuser Full set of Ultimate Carbon side skirts – not yet fitted but happy to give away with the car for the new owner OEM softop in great condition complete with storage bag The car comes with 2 sets of keys and a full history file from my ownership. Overall, this car is in great condition and has been lovingly looked after and upgraded over the 10 years I have had it. It is now a well sorted car with all the usual problem areas upgraded or fixed. Happy to take people out for a test drive, or let them drive if they come with proof of fully comp insurance. Appreciate there aren`t many cars out there, so willing to do some travel to make it easier to view. I`ve priced this car very competitively, its one of the best sorted cars out there whilst also being one of the cheapest SCs currently on the market – please don’t come along with silly offers!!3 points

Thank you to those who have waited patiently whilst I prepared the car and took up to date photos. The new laminated windscreen is now fitted and it is up for sale. I am selling this lovely, comfortable, fast and intoxicating car only because I am getting just a bit older and could do with the space. I have been asked to sell it many times over the years, and until now have dismissed the idea. But the time has come for someone else to enjoy it. I have owned it six years and it has been a fantastic sports car all round. The photos show its 'vintage' good looks and people want to talk about it wherever I go. It is in excellent order for its age and the roar of the V8 is something else. Nothing even comes close! The mileage is 26,000 or thereabouts, accumulated mostly on trips abroad and to Le Mans by the previous owner. He didn’t compete, but simply enjoyed the atmosphere with his friends. It starts on the nail and the lovely V8 is in fine condition. I believe it is fitted with a fast road camshaft. Oil changes have been done every 1000 miles and last year all oils and fluids were replaced. It comes complete with; Full Westfield hood and cover, Underslung stainless steel exhaust, New Bosch injectors from V8 specialist Mark Adams, Chromed wishbones and springs, Uprated SPAL cooling fan with manual override, Rapfix quick release steering wheel, Willans harnesses, Spare wheel and carrier. The USB cable just out of view under the dash is to connect to Rovergauge for tuning purposes.
