  4. Professionally built from brand new kit by Bentley Technician Race chassis Lightweight race bodyshell Race loom Uprated suspension โ€“ front & rear roll bars Racing 4 pot calipers Corner weighted and set up professionally Zetec 2.0 with Alpha Performance EM kit from Webcon (170 BHP) 5 speed gear-box Plumbed fire extinguisher Zero 2000 FIA seats and 5-point harnesses Second FIA seat fitted for track days FIA roll cage Dash 2 fitted Two sets of wheels โ€“ Compomotive CXR (slicks) & Revolution (Wets) Complete with all invoices, build manuals etc. Comes with Brian James 4 x wheel trailer fitted with wheel rack and fuel storage bins This car has seen little use due to son discovering cider and women shortly after construction โ€“ I would estimate no more than 20 track days throughout its life. We owned a Megabusa before building this and had planned to use this car in the Westfield series. All oils changed frequently, car has been totally reliable unlike the bike engine cars we owned and is very quick thanks to the lightweight chassis and body. ยฃ16500 including trailer For more info please write to: brett.whittingham@hotmail.co.uk

  5. Genius! Do you have any idea how long Iโ€™ve spent trying to find that from my phone? ๐Ÿคช Until you posted this, I just had to go back and find previous events Iโ€™ve created and navigate from there. Thanks!!

  6. Just to close this thread off, it did indeed appear that their website threw a wobbly when it said failed, but now I have a green box on the checker website - yay. Matter closed.

  7. The mrs dragged me in to hobbycraft this afternoon but I did find this and couldn't resist! Going to try to build it quicker than the two years it took me to get my Westfield on the road ๐Ÿคช

  8. You and me both @Flying Carrot Steve, can't even work in the engine bay for more than an hour at a time, took me 3 days to change the oil ( and that's not a joke) . I must get back to that model at some point. Was fun, although I did struggle with the really small bits mostly due to old prescription glasses, got new ones since then so should be better.

  9. That's about the only Westfield I'd consider building these days, too old to be rolling around on a garage floor

  10. Nope. Sorry. Going to Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre open day to see the first Lancaster Taxi run of the year and Spitfire fly past.

  12. It could do with its own tab really. Either from the home page or from the Out and About in Your Westfield forum maybe? Somewhere easier to find anyway

  14. Might be worth contacting Will Corry at Corry Motorsport/Corry Classics at Ballynahinch as he is often transporting cars the other way including to compete in MG Midget racing: https://www.facebook.com/CorryMotorsport/about?locale=en_GB The other thing is this weekend (Sat 4th May 2024) is the opening round of the British Hillclimb Championship at Craigantlet: https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=854232343390408&set=a.451558800324433&locale=en_GB Apart from a fun day out might be worth asking around the paddock on any advice/leads on transport to Northern Ireland. One possible saving might be to get the car transported to either of the two ferry routes from Cairnryan in SW Scotland, meet them there and then drive it on and drive it home, having come over as a foot passenger. There are often regular HGV multiple car transporters on these ferries going to NI so might be worth googling to see there are regular runs that would take a single car as part of a larger consignment perhaps from a central pick up point. You might want to try NI based companies that normally do this such as: https://www.johnstoncartransportltd.co.uk/vehicle-transport-solutions & https://ajcartransport.co.uk Good luck

  15. Tell him to stick with the car, less expensive than both of his distractions ( especially women, lol) ... Good luck with the sale anyway.

MNR well I have to like it as I am building one but its not so smile realase desingn as Westfield's. Not metion so helpfull and friendly community as for Westfields! I am proud to have WSCC stickers on Westfields. And - You look at Westfield and just smile ! I love that topic just too look at all that cars . Powerfull antidepressant

  19. No I donโ€™t think so. Northern Ireland is still classed as part of the UK. Different story if I was from Republic of Ireland.

  20. Just an apology for absence really, some ( but not all) are aware I have mental health issues, well it hit me again and only this last few days/weeks have I begun to engage with the world again ( sounds stupid but that's how it is) I need to be somewhere that I am familiar with again, and here is really were I should belong. So expect more mayhem from me , lots of car changes have happened since I was last on here and I will post those as and when . catch you around folks. Regards Richard.

  21. I've gone across to NI racing for 15 years, but always trailering the car (not road legal) as has already been said there are some great roads you could use to get back, rather than the motorways. Whatever you do, I think you'd find it cheaper to split the journey into 2 parts, mainland UK and then Ferry/NI Journey. As long as car is running the 2nd bit shouldn't be a problem for you, drive on Ferry and then home. If you don't fancy driving it up to Ferry terminal then see if you can get a transport company to take there, it will cost, but no-where near as much as adding the crossing in.

  25. Sorry to disappoint Bagpus but Dita has thrown a tantrum and her cooling fan no longer works. Made it home from my test run at 100 degrees.... fault finding indicates wiring problems, not fuses, switches or relay sadly.โ˜น๏ธ
