The roads from East Lothian to the motorways were epic, but once on the motorways it just cruised. I had a smile on my face the entire way 😁 and yes, the sound track is unmistakable. in the traffic jams on the M5 people putting their windows down to hear it burbling away and giving it a thumbs up. It’s always been my dream car and it certainly lives up to expectations 🤩3 points

Welcome from South Derbyshire. That's an epic journey, I bet the V8 sound track made it a bit easier though!3 points

Hey Leo, Welcome to the club and being a fellow - yellow SEight owner - I'm still very much a newbie (June last year!) and I've got to ask? Did you drive it back all the way on M'way???? If so well done cus I still dislike the M6/M5 in mine and avoid like the plague - hope to meet up soon... Bestest Phil R2 points

Porbably because even when they were in production, the 13" Prorace 1.2 wheels where available in 7" rims but not 8" rims, so when I was sprinting I did the same, namely 8" CRX's on the back and 7" Prorace on the front.2 points

That’s brilliant 🫶🏼 I only had to travel 50 miles to collect in June 23 after waiting 35 yrs, then I started to worry if it would be a “don’t meet your hero, moment!” How wrong could I have been - I have a permanent Cheshire Cat grin - not even a thunder storm on the M6 toll could remove it.1 point

Welcome from the Bristol team. There are a few of us around the area. We also have 2 WhatsApp groups, one for banter and help and another for blats and track days etc.1 point

Yes, please do let us know how you get on, I thought the other day that I need to add to drive up the A53 road from Leek to Buxton (preferably in that direction) to take in views of The Roaches, a large rock formation above you on your left.1 point

Ha! didn't see that. They still have 36 places remaining so I'll make my arrangements. My wife is a keen gardener and likes the arts, there is much to see. Blooms of Bressingham, gardens and steam museum https://www.thebressinghamgardens.com/, Sainsbury's art centre https://www.sainsburycentre.ac.uk/, East Ruston Vicarage Garden https://eastrustonoldvicarage.co.uk/. Good also to take a day boat on the broads https://www.richardsonsboatingholidays.co.uk/norfolk-broads-day-boat-hire/6-seater-electric-day-boat/. Does anyone have any other good ideas?1 point
