Just took the car for its MOT. All good, running really sweetly too. No issues with emissions nonsense, thankfully, despite the system seeming to want to do them. Tester just ignored that section, given it is a Q plate.2 points

Eeek! Still, at least going away for a proper fix will get it there eventually. All part of the adventure and fun that is owning a Westy!1 point

Sadly not, went from bad to worse. Boat delayed by a day due to poor weather. Specialist moved back a day to suit. Car would crank but not fire, no spark. Loose wire found under dash and got car running, but it wasn't running very well, suspect plug or igintion issue. Tried to warm engine up and it backfired (not unusual for a car on twin webers), however air filter caught fire. Fire put out, but possible slight fuel leak on one carb and dock workers definately don't want car on the ship as it is. Hence it's going a way for a few days to be fixed properly before it's booked back on a boat to Greece.1 point

Would anyone fancy a meet on the 4th May (or that weekend). If the weathers alright. Either Golden Heart in Birlip or the royal Oak in Gretton, or anywhere else if anyone has a preference. Just be nice to get out once this darn rain has stopped.1 point

I'd tidy me garage out, if I was putting my car up for sale. How some folk live it just shocking it must take him ages to find things in there 😉1 point

I would speak to jaykay42, he's a tall guy and found top pedal mount made the biggest difference. I would not get hung up on a lowered floor, best to try as many as you can.1 point

Weathers looking good for Saturday so hope to see you all there. Remember if you have any technical corncerns or maintenance queries then this is the meet to turn up too. Great cafe on site with museum and live airfield. Postcode NR17 1PU Its the first maintenance day we will have done so how it goes will depend on what we find and what it leads too etc. The fun bit is lifting them bonnets and meeting up with likeminded individuals. Cheers martin1 point

I didn't know about that. I'll get them all uploaded. Some are in two parts to fit a 256mmx256mm build plate.1 point

The National Kit Car Show, Three Counties Showground Malvern: Here's what happens on the biggest club stand of the show and some of the benefits of being a member Club Marquee & Gazebo Westfield Avenue parking Member Autojumble - buy and sell parts free of charge WSCC Scalextric WSCC PS4 Racing Sim Member's drop off area (helmets, coats and bags that you don’t want to carry around all day) AGM Saturday 16:00 to 17:00 Post AGM catered Hog Roast / BBQ / Sounds (with some beer/food supplied by the WSCC for club members) Display Cars 'Bonnets off' at midday on both day Manning the stand- We aim to ask volunteers to staff the club stand for two hours periods. The more volunteers the less we’ll all have to do. Use it as an opportunity to meet other members you wouldn’t normally meet. We typically need 20 volunteers per day to run all the various activities. This number allows us not to commit you to any more than a two hour stint. Meeters and Greeters- We are also looking to boost the number of meeters and greeters. This is important as Members and the public will need to: · Discuss the cars, membership · The meeters and greeters will also be assigned some organisational responsibilities (e.g. checking volunteers have arrived). Parking - We’ll have parking marshals to help you create Westfield Avenue and direct display cars into the marquee Gazebo or additional display areas. When you arrive to park up we ask that you follow the parking marshals directions as coordinating the placement of 150+ Westfields can be a little like herding cats. Cars for Sale- If you have a car for sale, please tell the marshals and they will direct you to the marquee or external Cars for sale area, where you will be able to park up and display your vehicle with a for sale sign. Tintop Parking- For tintops, vans and trailers, we aim to have parking near to the WSCC camp site. Further details on this will be made available closer to. Camping- Camping on the WSCC plot is available to all WSCC members. · Electricity hook-ups available · It can be a quiet place post show, so if you are the party type, the public area has more of a party atmosphere · Camping will be roped off and monitored by WSCC Members. WSCC Annual General Meeting (AGM)- The club’s AGM will be held on Saturday 1st June at 4.00pm The venue for the AGM will be the WSCC marquee, please make every effort to attend, it's your Club and the AGM is the opportunity for you to tell the Committee and your fellow Members what you think, what you want and what you don't like. We will be providing additional chairs for those members who wish to sit for the meeting and will be asking all non WSCC members to vacate the marquee prior to the AGM. Please also keep all exterior noise down whilst the AGM is underway. Saturday WSCC Members BBQ and Social- As per previous years we will be holding a Social for WSCC members and invited guests and will be providing food and beer. We have scheduled this straight after the AGM (5.30pm) in the hope that the attendees of the AGM will stay on if they are not camping over already. We will gladly BBQ food that members bring along in addition to the food we are supplying, which this year is a fully catered Hog Roast and some beer. If you are intending to join us Saturday evening and require any vegetarian options please bring this along and we will be happy to BBQ it Please note that this is an inclusive social, but it is for Members, Sponsors, Traders and invited guests only, please remember this and please note that we are required to keep noise to a reasonable level and not too late – after all, some of us need to get up early to get the show going again for you and the visiting public. What’s in it for ME…? All volunteers will get Water, Tea & Coffee throughout your stint, T-Shirt, evening BBQ, and the love and respect of your fellow Members. Free Gift for members who attend - This year The Club has some WSCC themed gifts, to be given out to members free on either/both day(s) on a first come, first served basis. Further info: showteam@wscc.co.uk Thanks for reading and we hope this convinces you to join up and visit the club at this great event. Show website : https://nationalkitcarshow.co.uk/1 point

I have paid to support the club as I will not be able to score enough points to win my class as I intend to compete in class B and class E depending on venue and am not allowed to combine my scores.1 point
