  2. Easter Sunday in the Peak District could be risky with traffic jams and such like but not today, oh blimey, it was empty on the roads. 9 Westfield's met at a cold and cloudy Hulme End, 7 in a row here and the remaining 2 here Glynn was wearing some of our new club merchandise from 'logo that polo', here he is with his new wooly hat which perfectly matches the lovely colour of his Westfield After warming up inside the surprisingly empty cafe 9 Westfield's took off on our travels, heading straight for the Bentley Brook road, one of our favourites as it is sweeping bend after sweeping bend. After crossing the Via Gellia road, we were 7 Westfield's as 2 had to go home and it really got interesting, a mix of new tyres, dry roads, emptyness, ooo, Glen commented I was like a woman possesed, it was awesome. I would like to thank the great drivers behind me for being an excellent convoy, we didn't get split up once, making it much more enjoyable for me too. The roads were so quiet I took us through Bakewell, it was no problem, unbelievable what difference the sunshine makes i.e no sun, no tourists. After the excitement we landed at Quackers for lunch, where it was busy, so we sat outside. The cake flowed Andy's speedo was not working (officer!😁), it wasn't the fuse ???? Easter Bunnies have been replaced by Easter Frogs, which I can confirm are just as delicious Thanks for coming everyone, thanks for taking photo's on the move Becky and thanks for making a great day out all round. See you next time XXX

It is taking place at Old Buckenham airfield in Norfolk starting at around 10.30am and there is a cafe on site to keep us going. Martin will be along soon with more details.

  6. Hi guys. As Barry as said. We will be doing a technical day to instill confidence in your cars with the aim to get venturing out more. I dont know if its been done before but a list i have attached will be some of the items we will be going through. We have a bunch of great guys with much experience in many sectors so lets use it. Ideas of modifications will be discussed also along with any worries , concerns or noises you have with your car. With great food, friendly banter plus a few aeroplanes in the mix it should be a cracker. Hope to see you there Martin and Barry

  9. The National Kit Car Show, Three Counties Showground Malvern: Here's what happens on the biggest club stand of the show and some of the benefits of being a member Club Marquee & Gazebo Westfield Avenue parking Member Autojumble - buy and sell parts free of charge WSCC Scalextric WSCC PS4 Racing Sim Member's drop off area (helmets, coats and bags that you don’t want to carry around all day) AGM Saturday 16:00 to 17:00 Post AGM catered Hog Roast / BBQ / Sounds (with some beer/food supplied by the WSCC for club members) Display Cars 'Bonnets off' at midday on both day Manning the stand- We aim to ask volunteers to staff the club stand for two hours periods. The more volunteers the less we’ll all have to do. Use it as an opportunity to meet other members you wouldn’t normally meet. We typically need 20 volunteers per day to run all the various activities. This number allows us not to commit you to any more than a two hour stint. Meeters and Greeters- We are also looking to boost the number of meeters and greeters. This is important as Members and the public will need to: · Discuss the cars, membership · The meeters and greeters will also be assigned some organisational responsibilities (e.g. checking volunteers have arrived). Parking - We’ll have parking marshals to help you create Westfield Avenue and direct display cars into the marquee Gazebo or additional display areas. When you arrive to park up we ask that you follow the parking marshals directions as coordinating the placement of 150+ Westfields can be a little like herding cats. Cars for Sale- If you have a car for sale, please tell the marshals and they will direct you to the marquee or external Cars for sale area, where you will be able to park up and display your vehicle with a for sale sign. Tintop Parking- For tintops, vans and trailers, we aim to have parking near to the WSCC camp site. Further details on this will be made available closer to. Camping- Camping on the WSCC plot is available to all WSCC members. · Electricity hook-ups available · It can be a quiet place post show, so if you are the party type, the public area has more of a party atmosphere · Camping will be roped off and monitored by WSCC Members. WSCC Annual General Meeting (AGM)- The club’s AGM will be held on Saturday 1st June at 4.00pm The venue for the AGM will be the WSCC marquee, please make every effort to attend, it's your Club and the AGM is the opportunity for you to tell the Committee and your fellow Members what you think, what you want and what you don't like. We will be providing additional chairs for those members who wish to sit for the meeting and will be asking all non WSCC members to vacate the marquee prior to the AGM. Please also keep all exterior noise down whilst the AGM is underway. Saturday WSCC Members BBQ and Social- As per previous years we will be holding a Social for WSCC members and invited guests and will be providing food and beer. We have scheduled this straight after the AGM (5.30pm) in the hope that the attendees of the AGM will stay on if they are not camping over already. We will gladly BBQ food that members bring along in addition to the food we are supplying, which this year is a fully catered Hog Roast and some beer. If you are intending to join us Saturday evening and require any vegetarian options please bring this along and we will be happy to BBQ it Please note that this is an inclusive social, but it is for Members, Sponsors, Traders and invited guests only, please remember this and please note that we are required to keep noise to a reasonable level and not too late – after all, some of us need to get up early to get the show going again for you and the visiting public. What’s in it for ME…? All volunteers will get Water, Tea & Coffee throughout your stint, T-Shirt, evening BBQ, and the love and respect of your fellow Members. Free Gift for members who attend - This year The Club has some WSCC themed gifts, to be given out to members free on either/both day(s) on a first come, first served basis. Further info: showteam@wscc.co.uk Thanks for reading and we hope this convinces you to join up and visit the club at this great event. Show website : https://nationalkitcarshow.co.uk/

  20. You're correct it is 6cm taller than a standard RAC type bar, TBH i'd rather have it that way as it gives you better protection, i've seen several RAC type bars with added hoops above the drivers head!
