  1. Thanks Eveveryone great start to the season, Qauli was very wet and im not one to enjoy that challenge but I was very happy with P7, given I qualified P19 in october at Silverstone this was a big leap up the grid. there were a few fast boys who would likley fly past in race one so was very happy to finish P10 although I did have so damage to the fresh paint and cut a tyre sidwall down to the cords. Race 2 was much cleaner although a lock up into Vale on the last lap cost me 2/3 places. still a good start to the season at a circuit I dont like, Snetterton is in 3 weeks on the 6th April which is another place i havent spent much time and is a power led track so being above the min weight isnt ideal. moving on later into the better tracks of Oulton park, Angelsea, Croft, Cadwell and donnington all of which i love and have had good results at last year. we wind up at brands hatch in october where I have never done a lap before so testing will be paramount their. anyway most of the rounds are live on you tube and most races are very good club motorsport to watch. thanks

  2. One word for today..... WOW!!! Weather was good so the Westie came out to play and I landed at Donington about 945. @Garry Bunn - Derby & Notts Joint AO joined me later as did a few of the Burton Classic Car Club. Wandering up the paddock, I was like a kid in a sweet shop! 20 Classic F1 cars plus loads of 60's and 70's sports cars, from lightweight E-Types to Ferrari, Lola, Porsche, GT40, Mustang etc etc. Some highlights: Special interest to me was this 1982 March 821 driven by Jochen Mass. The very car that Gilles Villeneuve clipped at Zolder in the wet trying to beat Didier Pironi's lap time. My childhood hero died that day colliding with this car, a very strange feeling to see it... One of John Watsons Mclaren's David Purley (March 731 maybe?), immortalised for his selfless and brave attempt to save his friend Roger Williamsom at Zandvoort in 1973 1961 Ferrari 246 SP, I believe this was Ferrari's first mid engined sportscar! James Hunts Mclaren M26 from 1978

  5. About time I introduced myself. I picked up my first Westfield back in June from a member on here. Since owning it just been out enjoying it as much as I can and now the weather has turned its time to give it a good cleaning and over haul. Gareth

  6. Hi Gareth, historically the Surrey area often heads south to your empty Sussex roads! Keep an eye out for our meets if you like ( we are a small bunch) and let me know if you want to be added to our WhatsApp.

  7. I recommend to take 3 good friends πŸ˜‰ Are you on your own in your car or travelling two up? We strongly recommend the car train from Dusseldorf to Innsbruck. However timetable is a now quite restrictive. UEX Happy to have a chat one night to share experience from 3 previous Alps trips.

  9. Hi Unfortunately I won't be able to join you, which is a shame as I have not made a meet yet! I am working on the Westy trying to get it ready for a track day on Monday if completed.. I hope you have a good meet

  10. I would just like to thank people for the positive way my post was received! It was a shame the car sold so cheap as it was a nice car to drive. In the end the winning bidder failed to complete and a local guy was the underbidder and 3 weeks later the deal was done and the new owner was definitely both keen and happy. I haven’t met the guy yet but I think I will. When I do as with myself I shall point him to the WSCC.
